Was Iowa’s last game there the 1997 NCAA tournament vs Kentucky?
If Iowa wins that they get the So Fla / VCU winner back in Iowa City next Tues or Wednesday?

This is why I think the NIT should be a national holiday. Going into work will be rough after that start time.
I hate it went they have to go west to play. Next year there will probably be some 9 or even 10 pm starting times for football and basketball which will suck ... a lot.

These are the type of matchups you play the NIT for. Let's see if Freeman learned anything from trying to guard Edey twice. Utah's 7 footer isn't as good but Freeman has struggled against bigger guys. This type of matchup will be really helpful for him moving forward into next season.
Carlson weighs 220lbs Edey is 300lbs.
Carlson is good but hes a finess player, total oposite end of the spectrum from Edey.
This will be the first time all year Owen will have a weight advantage.
That would be good then, since it's a Sunday game and Utah would have to do an emergency tryout to get a bunch of walk ons to fill the roster.
If last game Sandy and Krikke, along with a on 🔥 Perk show up, we will be fine.
Hope it's on ESPN2, DirecTV shows an NIT game starting at 6:30pm and one starting at 8:30pm on Sunday, also on ESNHD time blocks starting at 8pm & 10pm states "Title not available" Lot's of NIT games on ESPN plus, hope that's not the case with the Iowa game against Utah.
update: this is official, on Sunday the 24th, Iowa at Utah, 8pm ESPN2. UFC v South Florida, ESPNU at 6:30pm, if Iowa would win on Sunday one of those 2 teams would come to Carver.

We beat 11th ranked Missouri in the Insight Bowl which was played in Tucson.

Carlson has excellent post moves and can finish. I'll be surprised if Owen can stay out of foul trouble, especially since we will be on the road.
