***Iowa vs ND game thread***

Notre Dame is shooting 41% from three, 26-29 from the FT line, and Iowa has been outrebounded 42-31. Not winning numbers even if the offense is doing okay.

Just like the Memphis game...shot like 54% and 50% from 3 and 21-24 from the line and had no chance. When the defense starts getting played, things will change

I'd add Moss in starting lineup... Pemsl, Bohannon, Jok, Moss...and cook when he returns. Baer seems better off bench.
I would agree with this. And to think 4 of those are freshman eligibility wise. Recruitng seems to have improved.

The poor rebounding is big concern...giving up wide open 3balls is big problem. Not sure the FT discrepancy is all bad defense....lot of ticky tack fouls went to Notre Dame.

No reason that Bonzi dude should get 12 rebounds...Iowa guys need to give more effort.

Post men scoring but not rebounding. Pemsl gets 18pts but only 2rb. Cook has been similar.

true...they aren't working hard enough on boards and defense...but the offense for Pemsl you can't teach and the athleticism for Cook is also god given.

Tyler Cook can play some. Baer is a great garbage man. Jok will have games where he looks all-world and other where he is invisible. Looks like lots of questions in the backcourt. Should be interesting to see how the year develops.

Posted the above in the Seton Hall thread.

for tonight;
Cook out is a issue, though Pemsl did a really nice job. Bohannon shot fantastic. Kudos to him. This was one of Jok's what I called "invisible" nights. Sure he scored double figures, but he was a total liability tonight. A black hole on offense and a poor to atrocious night on defense. If he rotates the ball to a hot Bohannon a few more times then perhaps Iowa sneaks that one out.

Seen enough of Uhl and Wagner. Thru 7 games their stats are terrible. Play Moss and Kriener more. Let's see what they can do with extended minutes.

I think it's becoming apparent that we have some offensive options. Jok, Cook, Pemsel, Bohannan, Baer, Brady, and Moss all have the ability to have hot nights. Williams, Wagner, Uhl, and Reiner (as yet) not so much. Jones can shoot, but I don't know if he'll ever see the floor again.

It's still about the D for w's, but I thought there were some signs of improvement. Not from everyone.
