Really bad Iowa team. Take away the really brief couple of 3's and this team cannot figure out how to get out of their own way. LOTS of 1 on 1 and dribble heavy stuff. Shooters are not getting set most of the time and when they do, they are missing wide open stuff. This might be an EIU hangover waiting for everything to go wrong.
Dix looks really good. I like his confidence and not scared to take some contact. Had a couple really smart passes too on that last possession which ended up with a wide open Pat three (missed, of course)
He could end up filling the role that Fran wanted Sandfort to play to start the year if PS doesn’t figure it out

Iowa trailed by as many as 20 & trail 38-26 at halftime.
We should not be allowing Little Debbie to shoot 50% from the field.
Defense should travel. If it did, we'd be in better shape.

First half thoughts...
1. Dix is playing much better than Sandfort, sit the latter the rest of the game aside from a quick breather
2. Bowen needs to stay in so he can work through his mistakes
3. I've lost all confidence in Sandfort and Ulis
4. Connor needs to play nearly every minute of the second half
5. Still need to go down to Rebraca even though he has his hands full - maybe kick down and then out again.
6. Keep going to Murray
7. The press seems to be slowing NE down, keep mixing that in
8. Incredibly, Iowa still isn't out of this. NE isn't very good either.

I agree. Need to keep playing Dix in lieu of Sandfort for the most part at this point.
Yep, if Nebraska is going to double the post, then keep feeding Rebraca, Kris, and Connor down there and let them pass to the open three point shooter. At some point these division one athletes need to start making wide open shots. Do that, D up, and Iowa wins

I doubt that Iowa has enough shooting to get it done this year. Perkins hasn’t been the same since getting dinged. We are way too streaky from three to depend on it any night. Buckle up it’s going to be a long year.
Tony is completely ineffective at this point. I'm convinced he's still injured.
Unfortunately this is true. And I can’t quite figure out what has changed - but he definitely is not able to drive like he did early on nor is he hitting the midrange J or soft floaters. It’s like it all left at once! Same for Pmac for that matter.
Iowa missed 16 straight FGAs when they trailed Nebraska 28-8.

Except we have no post up game, beyond Rebraca, and Walker's been maning him up. Not to dog the kid but Kris doesn't have a shadow of his twins game on the block against anyone who's physical at all....
Definitely turned it around. Just not sure they can play consistently enough the second half to overcome the last minute turn of events (could have gone into halftime down 6 or 7 but instead trail 12).
Dix is actually playing pretty well on both ends....
Patrick has WAY too much length to only shoot 3s in the 1st half. Needs to use his damn size
