To be fair, there's no good answer. If we play man to man, their big guards will just score in close. If we play matchup zone, they've been hitting threes but normally aren't a good shooting team. So you have to err on the zone.

USC destroyed Illinois on Saturday. I watched it. This wasn't going to be easy

We need to be like Wisconsin---efficent on offense but not Totall Trash on defense/rebounding.

USC is athletic, but I'm not convimced they can shoot this well vs a decent defense. We've had a couple data points where teams like Wisconsin and USC shoot us out of the gym. When you give up so many wide open 3pt shots attempts, even bums get in a rhythm.

Anyway, we're down 16 pts at half and unable to get stops. I don't see us pulling this game out.

Everyone is playing bad, why Fran teaches his players to get sucked inside leaving wide open shots from the wing is insane. It's been a stable of Iowa's defense since year 1 of Fran's coaching at Iowa. Opponents never miss.....you're not wrong, Iowa has to figure it out at half time to be able to get back into this game.

3rd option is Fran rolled out a lineup with the 3 guys from West Africa + Threllwell and they at least could matchup athletically/strength wise, but they don't have a lot of basketball skills. I don't think that lineup would win either, but it wouldn't get killed on the boards.
