St. John was at NDSU he's at Virginia Tech now. I think isu will have a different line up for the most part after this dual

They have had multiple good recruits. That's why I was being sarcastic. Ames is where good recruits go if they want to end up at Grand View or back home with wasted potential.
Shhh, the PSU fans might see this and insist that Kale is a good developer.

Worst loss in ISU history? I know they lost to Old Dominion, Boston and Army a couple of years ago.. I kinda remember those being close duals. This was a beat down.

How did Holler look? Did he seem healthy?

Looked alright to me. Hesitated to shoot but was always up in Rod-Spence's grill. Rode the crap out of him at the end.

Now some might say, welp...ISU had some backups. However, the aggressors the whole night, whether they won or lost, were SDSU. Plus, they've continued the trend of giving up points at the end of the periods.

I am an SDSU wrestling alum and have season tickets on the mat right next to the visiting coaches. KJ was cussing most of the dual. Also very unimpressed with liveliness of the coaching bench in general. The whole "team" was VERY flat. Largest attendance in SDSU wrestling history and the crowd was great!

Is Downey's father drunk, delusional, crazy or D All the above?

Oh boy! I actually forgot ISU wrestled because this would have been too good to miss.

Couple of things you need to remember... 1. this team will peak in March 2. KJ recruiting is awesome 3. Meeks is really impressive in the practice room 4. the 157 is actually training for MMA 5. no other team in the country has injuries like ISU 6. ISU is the minor league team for GV 7. out of the total fan base of 14 people, only 6 made it to this dual. 8. the refs don't like Cyclones and 9. the emphasis is the Iowa dual.

And they're #allin

isn't everyone on the team HIS recruits?
I was just being my usual smart-ass self. That's a reference to how ISU fans like to say Carl left the cupboards bare and it was going to take 4-5 years to get KJ's team back to competing. Said after four years we'd know Jackson's coaching ability. Welp. guess we all know it now.

Finding things to criticize about ISU wrestling can be compared to shooting fish in a barrel. Gonna be a fun year.

Meeks was 4x IA state champion, who never lost in instate competition. He didn't wrestle that much out of state. He was ranked #5 in the recruit list by d1 college wrestling (Earl's), but that list did not include underclassman, and overall, he was ranked behind Ben Whiteford of Michigan in the final Intermat ranking at 138#. Not sure if he wrestled Fargo after his Sr year, but after his Jr year, he placed 6th.
