I have no idea of his credentials, but I do know of brother situations where the better one may give up some of their own so the other brother can be a scholarship athlete. This was a long time ago.Do these type of guys get any scholly money?
It's not like football. With so few scholarships (9.9), no one gets all that much scholly money anymore.Do these type of guys get any scholly money?
Yeah, I know the scholarship limits, just wondering how much we would give a guy that's going to likely be a backup. It's not like football. With so few scholarships (9.9), no one gets all that much scholly money anymore.
Today's back-up could be tomorrow's starter. Look what happened after the gambling fiasco. It's always next man up. I say: welcome Joey Kennedy!Yeah, I know the scholarship limits, just wondering how much we would give a guy that's going to likely be a backup.
Unless you are at Pedo UIt's not like football. With so few scholarships (9.9), no one gets all that much scholly money anymore.
IMO, this will ruin college wrestling. The NIL rules must be changed and enforced by someone other than the school's compliance office.Another reason donating to NIL/The Swarm helps ensure we keep pace with P$U

Wrong. All sports at Iowa are now part of Swarm. You can choose where your money goes to.They get nothing or next to it. Effectively, they are walk ons.
Just a point of order, to be clear, the Iowa Wrestling NIL is the HWC not the Swarm.
Definitely not PK’s credentials (read up on him last night), but who knows what he will become under the right leadership. The more the merrier as long as they bring it.I have no idea of his credentials, but I do know of brother situations where the better one may give up some of their own so the other brother can be a scholarship athlete. Nope. You specifically said that Swarm was not part of NIL for wrestling and that’s not true.Well...sort of...we are both right and wrong. And I appreciate you chiming in.
You can only choose the sport on one time gifts of $1,000 or more, or committing to $100 or more per month to the Swarm.
Nope. You specifically said that Swarm was not part of NIL for wrestling and that’s not true.
I can’t remember the date of when it was announced, but if you look at the top of the Swarm website it shows they support all Iowa sports. When did Swarm get involved with wrestling?
I thought wrestling was doing its own thing.
Nope. You specifically said that Swarm was not part of NIL for wrestling and that’s not true.
Nope again. Can you donate to wrestling through Swarm? True or false? The answer is true and I said as such. You said you can’t and thresholds were never part of your original comment. But you can move the goal post, that’s fine.Yes, and I appreciate the correction as I was wrong to make such a blanket statement. But you were wrong to say you can choose where your money goes to with the Swarm as it must meet certain thresholds. The basic Swarm membership level does not support wrestling. If you aren't able or willing to send a check for $1,000 or commit to $100/month, send what you can to the HWC if you want to support the wrestling NIL.
Not clearly seeing the math on this in cases where both guys are in the same household. Are you thinking student loan redistribution, so both have identical costs?I have no idea of his credentials, but I do know of brother situations where the better one may give up some of their own so the other brother can be a scholarship athlete. Good point. Especially considering Voinivich who isn't in the lineup. Pretty clear these guys understand you have to come and compete.Having all these younger brothers commit I believe shows a STRONG sign of the quality and chemistry of the program! For everyone claiming all the negative BS, I am pretty certain that having MULTIPLE sets of brothers committing puts that crap to rest!!!
Meh, he’s being pedantic and petty for the sake of it. Fresh fish is outta his league vs SpoonerI like this @HawkGold guy!
You know Im just playing, spooner is my buddy. They both seemed to be correct though, my money still goes directly to the HWCMeh, he’s being pedantic and petty for the sake of it. Fresh fish is outta his league vs Spooner
Thank you for indirectly proving the point I was trying to get across. You just described Spooner in one line. How any of you get enjoyment out of his style blows my mind. To each their own.Meh, he’s being pedantic and petty for the sake of it. Fresh fish is outta his league vs Spooner
He prays on the overly sensitive and those that take themselves too seriously. I find it hilarious.Thank you for indirectly proving the point I was trying to get across. You just described Spooner in one line. How any of you get enjoyment out of his style blows my mind. To each their own.
Thank goodness you were trying to make a point about Spooner...otherwise...ouch!Thank you for indirectly proving the point I was trying to get across. You just described Spooner in one line. How any of you get enjoyment out of his style blows my mind. To each their own.
FWIW...I suggest going direct to HWC with NIL contributions. SWARM is great and I give there too, but wrestling dollars are most effective when given to HWC in my humble opinion.Thank goodness you were trying to make a point about Spooner...otherwise...ouch!
Seems to be paying off. 🙄FWIW...I suggest going direct to HWC with NIL contributions. SWARM is great and I give there too, but wrestling dollars are most effective when given to HWC in my humble opinion.

Remember this when you are constantly nitpicking peoples posts. All I did here was take a page out of your book.
Seems to be paying off. 🙄
There is only one set of brothers that is a problem. LOL.Having all these younger brothers commit I believe shows a STRONG sign of the quality and chemistry of the program! Agree.I take this as a good sign that PK will be sticking around after this year. With the logjam that is 165-174 he could easily portal out and be the man at most Big 10 schools let alone anywhere else. Patrick is on fire and have full confidence that he reaches the podium this year at 174 come March.
