Kamala’s lead keeps dwindling. JFC this is pitiful.

W created a recession, then Obama cleaned it up
Trump/COVID created a mess, then Biden cleaned it up

Notice a pattern?

Recessions aren't created in 4 or 8 years. They are usually the result of 15+ years of kicking the can down the road. The 08' recession. One could argue Bush Sr., Clinton, and Bush Jr. all played a role in the 08' recession.

I watched an interview with Milwaukee voters on Monday night. I heard Trump supporters say several times that they think both candidates are terrible. It's not at all scientific, but it does appear that enthusiasm to vote for Trump is way down if "both sides suck" is one of the main features of Republicans.

Inflation might have been been made worse by Trump. He spent four years trying to overheat the economy and suddenly inflation explodes as he's on his way out.

I've seen the same thing....and I live in Trump central.
I've seen the same thing about the lack of political signs and there is a simple answer to it, people are keeping their support for Trump to themselves because they don't want to become a target. They've seen the guy survive two assassination attempts and they have seen the anger and vitriol spouted about Trump and his supporters. So why make yourself a target? Why put a Trump bumper sticker on your car just to have it vandalized? Why put a Trump yard sign out and become a target? You won't. But they'll still show up and vote for him.

I have equally seen very few Harris signs. I actually think people on both sides are just laying low and not making their support public because the environment is so toxic around this election.

The Obama admin did leave him a good economy. Then Covid happened, and Trump showed he is the worst possible leader in a tough situation.
The covid playbook should have been.

1. We're staying open as a nation, everything, stadiums, airlines, restaurants, absolutely 0 changes to how we were living our lives.
2. Kids are going to school
3. Get a vaccine if you want to
4. Where a mask if you want to

If we would have maintained a hard stance on that approach to COVID, other nations would have followed suit more quickly.

But let's not beat around the bush here, everyone knows Republicans were much more open to those 4 items above than were Dems because Democrats wanted to stew in their own self-pity and would rather have this nation suffer to hurt Trump.

There is a pattern, but you like most, fail to look deeply enough,.. The problems that happen under most presidents typically weren't created by them, and nor were the solutions that they appear to have provided, a result of their actions.

God you're an idiot. Inflation came because we printed $3.5T to pay people through COVID while allowing them to not pay their mortgages if they chose not to. And the whole world did similar programs in their own countries. Inflation is a result the world's response to COVID.

ok.

Your answer doesn't address her avoidance of answering any of her policy shifts directly. She avoids it...you can call that observation stupid but it's what she does.
Just say she isn't a middle aged white guy. You actually can find explanations and interviews, surrogate interviews, and position statements on just about anything you care to wonder about. I guess small credit to you if you are telling the truth and aren't voting for Trump, but it's laughable to keep saying she avoids questions, or you don't know where she stands. Trump pulls policy positions out of his ass on a daily basis that are a 180 from what he said 2 days prior, and you never get wadded up about his lack of clarity.

I'm starting to think you aren't a serious poster, with BS like this.

I've also talked to many Trump supporters who have had the same sentiment. They also avoid participating in polls over the phone because they don't trust what will happen if they support Trump.

I know at least 5 friends who (all male), have never voted Republican before but they are for this election. Mainly because they can't handle the trans shit nor can they handle the growing lawlessness of our inner-cities.

How does he show you he's more authentic?
He hasn't had massive flip flops on key policy such as energy, immigration, etc.. the behavior in general confirms this as well. Trump has lots of real interactions with people while kamala has the fake gas station chip runs where tampon Tim says "here are your nuts" while tossing her a bag of doritios. Few ideas to keep that convo going..

Reactions: RileyHawk
continue to support the anger, bigotry, and lunacy that we can no longer view as the downside but is actually the appeal.
Do you think its because MAGAs are bigots and like him or do you think its that they disagree with yours and similar opinions of Trump and like him despite the claims above?

I dont think its the third choice that your take might suggest which is they arent bigots, realize trump is, and thats what appeals to them....

They were under the two mentioned.

Not really..

The roots of the '08 recession go back to the Clinton administration, and major elements of it's ultimate repair were actually put in place under Bush, just prior to Obama taking office,.. Trump had the misfortune of being in charge when the pandemic hit, and he suffered through a condition that no politician could likely survive. The biggest step towards resolving the pandemic domestically was the development of multiple vaccines under Trump, prior to Biden taking office...

Lol this is absolutely laughable

LOL. Do you remember when hospitals were overwhelmed and busting at the seems? The correct play was to slow the spread and allow the healthcare system time to recover. Under your proposed "playbook", how many more people would have died?

Edit to add: hindsight is 20/20. In the beginning, we didn't know how deadly COVID was, how easily it spread, what medicines/therapies could be used to treat it, etc. So it was absolutely the correct call to over-react rather than under-react.

Sure Jan.

More people would have died, but most would have been very old. Frankly, I don't care about the excess death. It wouldn't have been as bad as people think, and it would have saved millions of jobs and hundreds of thousands of businesses, and it would have been vastly better for our children and vastly better for the mental health of tens of millions of people.

Last week we saw a poll where they were essentially tied nationally, he was up 5 in Arizona, and she was up 4 in Pennsylvania. All by the same polling outfit at the same time. How is that even possible?
And a month ago she was up 5 in Az in some polls…now she’s down 5?

No offense, but that is stupid as hell. If you stick to substance Trump loses by 90%. People aren’t going to vote for him because of anything substantive. They love the anger. They love the bigotry. They love the vile.
Oh I guess you answered in this reply.

You have this all wrong. Think about what you are saying.....half of registered American voters are racist, love bigotry and vitriol?

Are you actually serious? If so, you better move or build a shelter in the forest because you are saying that many of the people you interact with on a daily basis in America are the above.

This simply isnt the case and the more likely scenario is that you are flat out wrong about Trump voters. Just like 2016.

Too many of you live in liberal hives and don't actually listen to conservatives.

This is what drives this election to conservatives.
1-Border
2-Crime
3-Economy
4-Foreign policy

ALL of which they see as being better under Trump and are willing to ignore the personality issues. He has been President before. We know how it was when he was in office and the results 'Trump' any of the other things.

I will be voting Trump and am most assuredly not a bigot or hater. Im a normal guy with a normal family, good job, house in the Iowa suburbs, serve my community, and hold Hawkeye season tickets. If you saw me in my day job you'd have no such accusations of bigotry or vitriol I assure you.

You, in short, have it all wrong.

Agree 100%, and that’s where Trump lost me and why I don’t trust him to do the right thing next time. And there will be a next time.

He erred in favor of big(ger) government and less liberty.

Fool me once… 🤷‍♂️

The first round of Covid stimulus occurred under Trump and he was pushing for more but Mitch shot it down. Printing money during Covid wasn’t a Dem-exclusive policy. We would have experienced the same inflation during a second Trump term.

Spoken like a true Trumper. JFC.

Where ever did you get the idea that the Dem base is the one with this issue? Do you think Harris is losing Democrat's votes to Trump that Biden would have gotten? This is a total nonissue to anyone other than Trump supporters.
I would say black people are a strong part of her base, and it seems some of the loudest voices weren’t too happy about it.

While the majority of Black voters tend to vote Democratic, not all are lining up to endorse Harris. In a recent statement, the advocacy group Black Lives Matter has called into question Harris’ candidacy and the process by which she’s been nominated.

The statement called on the Democratic National Committee to host a “virtual snap primary across the country prior to the DNC convention” to ensure the process is people-powered rather than a decision decided by party delegates.

The organization still hasn’t endorsed any presidential candidate and has some qualms when it comes to supporting Harris. Namely, her record as a San Francisco’s district attorney and later as the California’s attorney general.
