Someone who is the opposite of Kammy Harris for starters.
And it's remarkable how much better that rock is doing at the job than it's predecessor. Like shockingly better, it's almost a joke how incompetent the non-rock guy was.
Actually, one big point that I disagree with is Biden dying before the DNC, particularly if he gets even a solid token challenge. I would guess that there would be a very quick flurry of activity and there would be a new favorite (remember all the power of the super delegates plus any remaining states). Maybe Kamala would win (and she might very well if Biden’s death was a politically related hit), but I think it would be more likely that they’d fly together quickly find another candidate.
Being placed into a position of authority doesn't make one powerful. Nobody is intimidated by cackles. Not even sleepy joe when she's calling him a racist on national TV.
Oh yeah, everyone is doing great, crime is down, gas prices are at pre-pandemic levels and inflation is non-existent, now pull your head out of your ass.
I don't think there will be a solid quality candidate at all. Only notable person running against Biden is RFK and he's an anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorist, not going to fit in with Dems at all.
I think if there was a legit primary, Harris would lose but any primary that started that late in the game would leave too little time for other people to jump in. So at the convention they would just nominate Harris and have her pick her VP nominee.

Although I disagree with you 100% that a Trump second term would’ve been better than Biden. It’s not even close.
I’ll be curious (presuming Biden does live through the primary season, as I think he will), if they stick with Harris as VP. I have my own opinions, but I’d be curious why she was the pick in the first place. Did they think she was solid on policy and would be good as a POTUS replacement? Did they pick her based on demographics to pick up votes? Etc. This next term would be Biden’s last, whether he governs all the way through or not, so even if we acknowledge that VP isn’t necessarily a stepping stone for POTUS, would be curious whether the Dems want someone on The ticket to look like the heir apparent.

Correct. That's why I said I doubt those that profess to hate her so much are probably either being dramatic, or are very shallow. It's a lot of hyperbole.
This is wrong. She is TERRIBLE. The problem is there is such partisanship on BOTH sides that even when people who are as worthless as Trump, Biden and Harris (among others) do a crapsh!t job.....there team will keep blindly saying they are doing AWESOME. It is a joke

I am telling you they are BOTH terrible. They BOTH need to be kept away from the Presidency....it is as simple as that. Again, to say otherwise is partisan junk.
What duties is she so terrible at? Making you and others feel good? Is she not showing up to vote with Dems in tied Senate votes?
Fwiw, I don't agree with the way she handled her AG job in CA, but that's a long way from home and has nothing to do with the do nothing job of VP.
It's cute to see such continued concern for the health of the POTUS and the new level of scrutiny of the VP's office. It's so reminiscent of Hillary Clinton's impending blindness/stroke/death that it almost seems contrived.
I don't think history will agree with your analysis at all. Domestic policy preferences aside, the Biden administration is navigating the historically challengeling times pretty effectively.

But, if someone asks, about Harris (or Trump or Biden) I have zero problem giving my honest opinion. I love how people will do and say anything to make sure their "Team" looks good...even if the contrary is smacking them in the face. Ugh.
Who in this thread has said Harris is doing “AWESOME”. I have said, as have others, that I have no idea how to grade VPs due to the very nature of the job.
Maybe Harris is more formidable than I gave her credit for…

You'd have to actually believe that she was going to be in charge of "the border" for that to matter, which is kind of silly when the DHS already has a cabinet position.
I love it when posters both sides these convos and talk down their nose about perceived partisanship when literally nobody is saying she's done anything remarkable or even above-average, just that calling her the worst ever or saying she's some sort of threat is ridiculous hyperbole that likely originates in a political strategy office somewhere. It just doesn't matter as much as many that wouldn't ever vote for her want others to believe.

And you would have to actually understand and admit that she is one inch from the Presidency. You can minimize her all you want, the fact is that I would do not want her, Biden or Trump anywhere near the Presidency. And most American agree with me.
What is sad is that I could TOTALLY believe this was an actual statement by her.
