That was a stone cold dagger of a shot, a really tough shot for anyone going left and she made it look smooth
I think I was more excited for Kate getting drafted 18th than I was with Caitlin going number 1. We knew number 1, but 18th was a surprise. I was hoping she might at least go in the 3rd round. Proud to be a Hawkeye.
This news totally made my night. Kate is the type of player that you can't help but love and admire. Hard-nosed (literally), fiery competitor who leaves it all on the court and a great leader. So happy for her to get this opportunity.

Someone on Reddit posted that Kate has already been traded to the Mystic. Anyone following this closely enough to know? Could be a blessing in disguise since the Aces roster would have been really tough to crack.

Granted, 6'6" Liz Kitley is out recovering from the torn ACL so I guess that means 4 cuts will have to happen.
The Aces list Megan Gustafson at 6'4", by the way. Iowa listed her at 6'3" her senior year. Hopefully Megan makes the cut.
