Lineup for Nebraska?

He was 330. Jden Cox has said he can lose 10lbs in an hour workout. Plus to stay that size Nash is eating a mega calorie diet . He was 296 after practice on Thursday
Wrestling conditioning is very different than football conditioning. Weight tends to melt off when you get on the mat several hours a day.

Kueter will work Hill like a part time job. It's not close.
Hutmacher is a giant man and will give most Heavies a good match.
Has anyone seen then against each other? Just interested. That’s awesome if true because I think hill could beat most guys from 20th rank up. Would have trouble with guys below that.

I just saw what seemed like a new post about Big Tone still in the appeal process, Any truth to this?
That would be amazing although strange that big Cass has lost even more weight…. Wonder how that translates

Tom has mentioned awhile ago they had 2 appeals left, then Nelson’s was denied which I assumed meant someone’s was still in limbo but never heard more.

Arnold is the best they've got at 174. Obviously the problem is they don't have a good option at 184. Unfortunately, he'll probably be asked to wrestle above his best weight.

never underestimate how artificially heavy some of these football linemen are. he probably had to work really hard to get to and maintain 330. that’s why half these guys lose like 60-80lbs 6 months after retiring.

the first 30 probably fell off him as soon as he stopped eating an extra few thousand calories a day.

Im thinking that way too. The more this drags on with nothing, at least publically, becoming clear and concrete, I think AJ has moved on.
I doubt it. As of Friday night AJ was in Iowa City telling people at the bars he was definitely going to Iowa.

Willie on the mic, didn’t seem to know the criteria to win the dual, seemed odd he wouldn’t know.
not true. we outlined the criteria pretty clearly.

i think what you're remembering is that i said the in-house scoreboard and the PA announcer weren't making it clear to the fans. it was a good couple minutes before they made it clear to the people in attendance who won.

most of them were confused or unsure.

This is what I heard too, the issue was not letting the fans know. Good job on the mic, hope you do more BTN meets.

I dont think he was 330, and if he was, he weighed with some gear or clothes on, and a little exageration.
Now his previous football season, probably, because every husker lineman was carrying plenty of bad weight under Duval.

You guys would be better for it, imo.
Great wrestler, with lots to work on in every other aspect.

It wont be if, but when...not worth it.

Nebraska has been pretty spot on with their roster listings in comparison to what guys measure at the combine. Unless the new coach decided to change that practice.

Ya, not sure. Just my opinion, although Nash did say after the dual, he lost 40, which would be 225, and that was likely his peak during football, and at the feed trough 5 or 6 times a day.

With no bowl games, that could have ended the saturday after Thanksgiving. Plenty of time for a guy his size. I thought he looked great at 285, and hope he doesn't put it all back on for football.Maybe the 305 or 310 range.

There’s no L. Gabe himself said he’s not comfortable at 184 because he’s too short for that weight and wants to go at 174 (and the ISU match was a one-off). You can say well, he’ll do another one off again to win another dual, but what dual is it not better for the team score for him to bump? If you say well, he’ll bump up for this one to help win the dual for Nebraska and for Penn State and for Ok State and for Wisconsin, etc, when is he going to wrestle 174 to get ready for the post season? I’ll refrain from the personal attacks over it, but I’d be shocked if Gabe wrestles 184 again this season.

The bottom line is that Gabe wants to be 174 and he wants to go after Starocci. Unless he can’t beat PK for the spot, that’s where he should be wrestling and what he should be allowed to do.
Thank you for setting the record straight. What’s so difficult about that to understand?

He also has since said he will go wherever he is needed in an article posted 3 days ago, it's behind a pay wall. If you would like to read the headline Google search Gabe Arnold 184.
I’m sure there’s a question of how Gabe measures up against starocci(spelling) I believe he teched wittlake recently. Some scoring gap there. Will be awesome to see them head to head.

Not saying anything, but that’s the classic Taylor Dake argument and we saw how that turned out every single time.

I don't see the match going like Starocci vs Wittlake. Gabe's defense is too good to be taken down like a drilling dummy. It would be an interesting match.
