Los Angeles On Fire

My wife's cousin lost his house. His kid's school gone.
It's terrible, whole towns are disappearing.
We have a friend in the area and last we heard their house was standing, but everything else on the block was burned or burning. They expect it to be gone soon. Same with my wife's coworker, house was there last they checked, but fires were still burning next door.

BIL is close enough that he's watching the evacuation orders. My brother and my son are both out of harms path at the moment.

And even those houses still standing are going to have substantial losses/claims.

Colleague of mine had her house survive the Marshall fires - homes next door and further west were all gone. But they had lots of smoke damage and broken windows from the heat and debris that smashed through them. Don't know what those costs were, but they were not able to move back in for weeks after the fires were over. Entire neighborhoods were inaccessible until they could complete cleanup.

Dear Lord

Please be with Belem and his family during this time.

-Amen

Oh hum......nothing can or could be done! But Trump......

I love when North Florida/South Ga people feel superior over west coast wildfires. "We do controlled burns here cause we're smart". We practically live in a freaking rainforest here also. Minor difference.

For comparison, Tallahassee gets 60 inches of rain per year. Los Angeles gets 14. Stuff here doesn't burn easily.

You should see the "controlled" burn methods here also. Start a bunch of fires and leave. Try that in dry areas of the country.
you totally missed the point.

The point was they they do controlled burns in CA.

The point is that people go from all over the country to participate.

But your assumption that I’m from North Florida shows your ignorance.

Carry on though.

Imagine being one of these people:

Everyone around you burnt to the ground and it appears nothing touched them.
My wife's aunt and uncle were. San Diego wild fires about a decade ago. They got evacuated for 3 days then were told you can go home. You don't know if your house is standing or not. Their's was. Many other neighbor's weren't.

FUNFACT: The fires were not in the City of Los Angeles, where the mayor presides.

They were in adjacent cities in parts of Los Angeles COUNTY, where the LA City Mayor has no jurisdiction or function.

So, it'd seem like Megyn Kelly is the dim bulb here...
So why is she all over the news? 🤡🤣 Why was she doing that presser when the mayor of San Francisco or Sacramento could have? 🤣

Because the fires are in the Los Angeles metropolitan area numbnuts. Maybe representatives of the jurisdictions that are getting burned down are a bit busy to do the press conference. Maybe there's an agreement in the area that she would do a press conference in a similar circumstance. Maybe the press requested her. Jesus think things through d******

Just so everyone is aware, with the right conditions downtown Iowa City could darn near completely burn down with 50 to 100 mph sustained winds. There's almost nothing a fire department can do in certain situations like that and yes the water supply would be strained here as well. Or anywhere for that matter.
Well, according to Joe, the mayor of Sioux City would be in the news a lot!

That's your "thought process" and you're telling me to think things through? 🤣

The person you posted is a moron/liar and so are you for reposting this shit.

That assertion is wrong. The city was in the process of negotiating a new contract with the fire department at the time the budget was being crafted, so additional funding for the department was set aside in a separate fund until that deal was finalized in November. In fact, the city’s fire budget increased more than $50 million year-over-year compared to the last budget cycle, according to Blumenfield’s office, although overall concerns about the department’s staffing level have persisted for a number of years.

But then, you've never given a shit whether or not the garbage you post is factual.

Questionable. That addressed one of about 12 issues discussed yet you dismiss them wholesale like the partisan hack you are.

In case your retarded ass is still confused >

Pacific Palisades is a community in Los Angeles, and is politically represented by the Mayor of Los Angeles. The Honorary Mayor of Pacific Palisades is usually a celebrity and local resident who serves a term typically-lasting 2 years though some have served longer. The Honorary Mayor makes nonbinding decisions for the community, and is a figurehead who appears at town events such as menorah lighting and the annual "Palisades Rocks The Fourth!" event.[2]

So..you get caught passing bad information (again) and your response is 'questionable'.
Do you have better information than the reporters at politico? Can you supply it without posting a tweet?

I do not trust the “reporters at politico” doing emergency PR for the mayor of LA and Democrats in that region. The amount of stories you pass along here without a source is embarrassing and is sufficient to distrust anything you offer.

This is awful, I feel so bad for the victims. We should all be thinking of and thankful for the fire fighters battling the blaze. And I’m also personally thankful for the tireless work that President Donald Trump has put in shining a light on this national tragedy.

Of course you don't. Unless Elon retweeted it or you sucked it directly from his ass you don't believe anything.

The fact that you consider 'PatriotBarbie' to be a source tells everyone everything they need to know about you.

You're not the most offensive poster, and probably not the dumbest, but you are the saddest.

This probably could happen on almost any big city or any small City anywhere in the USA with the right conditions. We had some bad fires here near Austin about 20 years ago. I swear they were set even though they blamed high winds blowing electrical lines down... Which I admit is a possibility also. But I always thought it was set... it was along a major highway... Highway 71 and it looks like somebody could drive along the highway and be setting the fire as they go. If you looked at the map of the fires...

So wild that LA & NYC are two of the worst American cities and run by Dems, yet people still vote for them. It’s unbelievable.
Nothing can be done........that's just the way it is despite having "the world's 5th biggest economy" they keep crowing about! But by god they can wine and dine millions of ILLEGALS....but they can't fight a fire they knew was coming for decades.....

Oh look! You’re clairvoyant as well. You knew this fire was coming.

Why didn’t you advise everyone that a five fires would break out as a result of Santa Ana winds that would occur on Tuesday.?

Since you knew it was coming, why pray tell, did you not report it to the proper authorities?
