Will be interesting to see if Marquette can rebound and how they will do vs a ranked team after what Iowa did to them.

Of all the next Lebron's since Lebron (KD, Barnes, Wiggins) Simmons might be the best I've seen.

This is the exact same team. I agree, they are not playing better; they are just playing another team that plays slop ball.
Now at half one guy tries to give Iowa props but he has to bring a loss of an exhibition game. Really!
The talking heads want to make it seem like Marquette lost to a division II team (IA) in an exhibition game so it didn't count. Just wait until IA make some noise in the upcoming tournament before IA gets some real credibility, same with FB, have to win out to get to the play off to get some real respect.
Marquette, who just beat a ranked team with one of the best players in the country, isn't a good team? Yeah, I'm not buying that. They're young and inexperienced, but they're going to be really good once it falls in place.

Simmons registered 21pts, 20rbs, 7 asts vs Marquette. Sounds like that's ALL LSU had to lose with a guy having a line like that. And Iowa just beat MU to dust in the last game.
Yes, we are better than people think, and I think Wojo is ok as a coach. LSU's coach didn't impress me that much either.
"Evolved"? You mean grown? Or just gotten better? The game didn't magically transform into another completely different kind of animal. Sorry, I'm just over the fraud of evolution being injected into every part of our lives.
Marquette is NOT a good team and it seems like they don't even have a coach. They have talent but the coaching is non existent. Simmons is a stud who chose to go to a school that doesn't even care about basketball. I agree that Iowa is better than the pundits think but we won't know for sure who we are until after the first half of the schedule or until we play MSU.
When your best players are freshman, your team is going to take a while to reach its potential. Both LSU and Marquette will probably be much better teams by midseason. Iowa has the advantage of having a very experienced starting five. I hope that the development of our bench will also make us an even better team as the season progresses.
For all of you blasting both teams, or any other with the same roster make up, think about this. A big chunk of the players are FR and SO, so they're young and inexperienced. In addition, pretty much all of them were "the man" on their HS and AAU teams, so they're used to being the one with ball all the time. Coaching those guys to be role players, do the little things, etc, is going to take a while.
How good would Iowa be if the were counting on all the new guys with little Jr/Sr leadership? They'd suck something fierce right now, regardless of the actual ability level. What was the difference between KY last year and the year before? Last year they have a few guys with experience, the year before they didn't have so much.
