I think you are correct! Also depends on other teams around us how they finish out as well! Start rooting against teams on the7/8/9 seeds to loose!!Think we are stuck on the 8/9 unless we win tonight or make a deep run in BTT.
Lose out and get a 10 or split this week and win one in BTT and get an 8. Sign me up for 10 seed scenario.
Yes a 7 seed is likely with that but it's more likely we split and just win one and are stuck at an 8. Lose out we are a 10 probably.hoping for at least this (or the board melts down):
1-1 to end season
2-1 in BTT (likely playing on Thur; I think we run out of gas by Sat)
21-13 record on Selection Sunday
#7 seed? Maybe??
Huge KenPom jump: 44 -> 34.
Would expect to see the other teamsheet metrics take a similar jump tomorrow.
hope you are rightI think we are a 7 now. Stay at 7 with a Nebraska win. Win one in the BTT and then lose and we are a 6. Win more than one? Hard to say.
Thats not a win. Thats a ASS kicking!!!
Especially when you are losing home games to the worst teams in the conferenceThe Clowns have lost 8 of their last ten. Yes the Big 12 is tough, but don't you have to win some games or you start sliding?
Monumental NET jump as well. 43->33 this morning. You don't often see that this late in the season.Huge KenPom jump: 44 -> 34.
Would expect to see the other teamsheet metrics take a similar jump tomorrow.
We are on no matter what now, but I would like to get off the 8/9 line. 7 is fine. Need to beat Nebraska and we should be fine.Monumental NET jump as well. 43->33 this morning. You don't often see that this late in the season.
BUUUUTTTTT absolutely must take care of business against Nebby. Losing to them would be a Q3 loss, which would be disastrous
Katz has us at a 7. Palm a 8.
Here is Andy Katz's bracket.
Note: #7 IOWA vs #10 Seed Joe Toussaint/West Virginia with the winner playing #2 UCLA/#15 Eastern Wasthington

How does anybody have MSU seeded ahead of the HawksToday, March 1, Lunardi/ESPN still has Iowa as an 8 seed (#30 overall seed).![]()

A lot of us would love to kick the crap out of Steve Douchebag's teamIf Nevada must be in, I'd love to see the Hawks matched against them in the first round.
I am ok winning one in BTT i think they were gassed after winning BTT last year even though it was awesomeI think we are a 7 now. Stay at 7 with a Nebraska win. Win one in the BTT and then lose and we are a 6. Win more than one? Hard to say.
Now that several teams, B1G and others, ranked above us, have stumbled, I would hope we have the opportunity to pummell Debby and perhaps our first BTT foe, and move up to a five. Here's the story Andy wrote regarding his bracket posted above.
Some quick excerpts:
* He has Alabama as the overall #1 seed, followed by Kansas, Purdue and Houston.
* He has Michigan is his 2nd team OUT.
He has 9 B1G teams in:
1 Purdue (#3 overall seed)
4 Indiana (#13 overall seed)
6 Maryland (#21 overall seed)
6 Northwestern (#24 overall seed)
7 Michigan State (#27 overall seed)
7 IOWA (#28 overall seed)
8 Illinois (#29 overall seed)
9 Rutgers (#36 overall seed)
11 Wisconsin (#46 overall seed) (one of Last 4 IN)

Shelby, Katz and Lunardi ALL have Indiana as a 4 seed? Is that because they beat PU twice?

Six/seven better than a five seed. Five seed puts you in the same side of the bracket as the one seed. Now that several teams, B1G and others, ranked above us, have stumbled, I would hope we have the opportunity to pummell Debby and perhaps our first BTT foe, and move up to a five.
I'm not sold on that game moving Iowa 3 seed lines...hmmmm...I was wondering if there were a "what if" web site; ie, what if we removed the Eastern Illinois result.
Well, here you go. Talk about depressing.
