Lose out and get a 10 or split this week and win one in BTT and get an 8. Sign me up for 10 seed scenario.

hoping for at least this (or the board melts down):

1-1 to end season
2-1 in BTT (likely playing on Thur; I think we run out of gas by Sat)

21-13 record on Selection Sunday

#7 seed? Maybe??

Yes a 7 seed is likely with that but it's more likely we split and just win one and are stuck at an 8. Lose out we are a 10 probably.

Huge KenPom jump: 44 -> 34.
Would expect to see the other teamsheet metrics take a similar jump tomorrow.
Monumental NET jump as well. 43->33 this morning. You don't often see that this late in the season.

BUUUUTTTTT absolutely must take care of business against Nebby. Losing to them would be a Q3 loss, which would be disastrous

We are on no matter what now, but I would like to get off the 8/9 line. 7 is fine. Need to beat Nebraska and we should be fine.

On his website he brags that he is one of the most accurate Bracketologists with 15+ years experience and a 98% accuracy rate since 2005.

Today, March 1st, he continues to have #7 seed Iowa in the Midwest Region playing #10 Boise State with the winner playing #2 Arizona/#15 Eastern Washington (in Denver).

He has Michigan as his LAST TEAM IN, Wisconsin as his 1st team OUT & Penn State as his 5th team OUT.

He has 9 B1G teams in as of this morning, March 1.

2 Purdue (#6 overall seed)
4 Indiana (#13 overall seed)

I'm surprised that they are still going with Purdue as a #1 seed. They are 3-4 in February.
Will see how the B1G tournament plays out. That'll affect their #1 or #2 seed. UCLA is right there

Assuming Purdue beat Wisconsin and Illinois... Drop either of those, they would have to drop

Looking over the various brackets, Iowa is going to have a tall mountain to climb to get to the S16 no matter where they are seeded.

There is so much parity in CBB these days. Hawks are going to have to play really well to get out of the first round.

Shelby, Katz and Lunardi ALL have Indiana as a 4 seed? Is that because they beat PU twice?

I was wondering if there were a "what if" web site; ie, what if we removed the Eastern Illinois result.

Well, here you go. Talk about depressing.

Now that several teams, B1G and others, ranked above us, have stumbled, I would hope we have the opportunity to pummell Debby and perhaps our first BTT foe, and move up to a five.

Iowa would probably be a 4 seed, too, if you change Eastern Illinois to a win (or if we had not played).

As you can see below, IU and Iowa both have 5-8 Quad 1 records. The only difference in their resumes, really, is Quad 4; IU is 6-0, Iowa is 5-1.

How badly should Iowa get punished for that Quad 4 loss? Right now, it looks like we are getting punished 3 seed lines (projected at a 7 seed instead of a 4 seed).

Six/seven better than a five seed. Five seed puts you in the same side of the bracket as the one seed.
