Can't figure out how to post a screen shot on here, but on twitter seeing a post from a text convo with someone on the team confirming the rumors.
Sounds like 1 game for both Alaric Jackson and Cedric Lattimore.

Take it for what it's worth.
That's good news, all things considered.I didn't hear anything on Lattimore, doesn't mean it's not true.
I did hear on Monday that Jackson would be suspended. It did NOT just happen, it happened over the summer. Given that there was nothing legally that came out, my guess is violation of team rules of some sort. I was told it is one game, FWIW.
Marc Morehouse just tweeted he expects two suspensions at some point. Gaining some traction with the Iowa Media. Can't figure out how to post a screen shot on here, but on twitter seeing a post from a text convo with someone on the team confirming the rumors.

Dont for get that impressive ALMOST 6 out of 10 "win"Good thing we do things "the right way"...
No worries, you play ISU the second week. Old Kirk will have him back by then!I have a hard time believing Jackson is suspended for one game. If he is in trouble again, it would seem since he has already been suspended that it would be for more than one game.

I agree, but I suppose it depends on the violation. At any rate, regardless of what happened, if he's suspended for a second time he would have to be on a "zero tolerance" policy from here on out.
Great opportunity for some guys to step up. Maybe it would be nice if some of these guys who can't abide by the rules were to get Wally Pipped, lose their jobs permanently. That would be a pretty awesome lesson.
The rest of the team will, no doubt, come together over this ongoing string of disappointments. And it should make it even clearer to players and coaches alike that they need to come out on fire against NIU, dominate the game from the opening whistle, and never let up. Show the boys on suspension that the Hawkeyes are just great without them.

So,...any guesses as to who the 5 offensive lineman L-R in the huddle will be for Northern Illinois game? This is more than concerning. Two sophomore running backs....and a make shift offensive line. N.Illinois all-American DE will be baptizing somebody.
I wouldn't mind seeing Jackson get Wally Pipped to he honest. He's got to be down to his last strike by now.
I'd put the '05 and '10 teams in that fat cats category. Both came after very successful seasons and were way too talented to finish with 5 losses. 05 loss to ISU was pathetic and I'll never forget Greenway and his buddies raising the roof and yucking it up on sidelines in waning minutes of NW game with a lead only to piss it away. That fat cats line really backfired on the Capt when you look at how few seasons we've had with less than 5 losses since (3 in 13 seasons)Yep. Outside of suspensions, if there’s substance to this, what’s also bothersome is the lack of discipline and focus. The season is right around the damn corner! This team is starting to feel like the 06-07 “fat cats” teams that didn’t give a damn half the time.
Don't flatter yourself clone. Unlike a bunch of schools, KF does not make decisions based on who were going to be playing. No worries, you play ISU the second week. Old Kirk will have him back by then!
Well we had to resort to their "style" of recruiting if we wanted to win the national championship......Unfortunate way to start a season if true. 6 starters/co-starters suspended or no longer with team (27%). Good thing Iowa has that Alabama-like depth.
Umm, no. Kid is a stud.
Maybe. But he's also on consecutive one game suspensions, which I think is a first under KF. At this rate it wouldn't be a surprise to see him finish his career elsewhere, so someone less challenged with off the field issues can win that spot, great.
