Has any of you sung the National Anthem before a big, or even small sporting event? FWIW, I've been told that it's one of the hardest songs to sing and make it sound good. And to be honest, this young lady made it seem a little more difficult.

One our old regulars on the FSU Locker Room board, NolezFan, sang the anthem before a Rays game. He posted it on YouTube, he did a great job with it. Sang it in the original tempo, without a lot of dragged out notes.

The trend to soloists singing it needs to change-*. Band or orchestra better alone or with whole audience singing. Yes it's a trend, though over quite a few years.
