really hope you are wrong
losing the way we did to them will even feel worse

Why would that be funny? Its good for the conference. And Why exactly would some school from Idaho that plays on Blue turf be "more likeable". Don't get the inference

We had a 13-0 halftime lead based on settling for FGs.
What’s even more frustrating is how good Iowa was at home the rest of the season, especially on offense.
Boise State almost won at Oregon. I think Boise State has gotten worse and Oregon has gotten better though. Oregon would dominate if they played again, IMO.
It’s funny how every fan of 7-5 programs in the BIG/Sec want to see teams like Boise State get killed though. Boise State is far more likeable than teams like Oregon/OSU.
Boise State really is struggling to cross the finish line
I was suggesting that approach only for the Big 12 championship game.Or, maybe they should just rank the top 12 teams, give the 4 best teams a 1st Round bye, and be done.
Here is the latest AP Top 25.
If you took the top 12 teams:
4 B1G teams (Oregon, OSU, Penn St, Indiana)
3 SEC teams (Texas, Georgia, Tennessee)
3 ACC teams (Miami, SMU, Clemson)
0 Big 12 teams (Boise St & ND are the other 2 teams)
Here would be the matchups:
#12 Clemson at #5 Notre Dame
Winner plays #4 Penn State
#11 Boise State at #6 Georgia
Winner plays #3 Texas
#10 Indiana at #7 Tennessee
Winner plays #2 Ohio State
#9 SMU at #8 Miami
Winner plays #1 Oregon

They are. They have really gotten worse as the season has gone on IMO.
Boise State's schedule is embarrassing. There's a lot of teams that would be 10-1 with this schedule.

It’s too bad what happened to the conferences. Wazzu and Oregon State were building solid programs. Oregon State was legit last year and way better than most know or would give them credit for. Very fun atmosphere/stadium too, despite it being smaller.
PAC12 basketball teams are going to burn out big time. Most thought the PAC 12 would survive realignment and that the Big 12 was on life support & would be the carcass that would get picked apart.
The PAC 12 commissioner did one shitty job, to put it mildly. And now we have teams traveling 3 time zones for games; this is going to really suck for the nonrevenue sports teams.
I completely disagree with it but I commend him for fighting for his conference.Brett Yormark, the Big 12 Commissioner, argues that the Big 12 champ should get a 1st round bye.

How many times were the two best big ten teams in the BIG championship? Or SEC? Things like this have been happening for years and we’ve benefited as Iowa fans at times too, if we are objective haha.
I just think for a national tournament the 4 byes should go the the 4 most deserving
I agree but I also won’t feel bad for Ohio state or Oregon. Maybe do a way with a bye if we go to 16 too or have the BIG/SEC winners get byes if we are at 14.
I would love to know what the top 25 is for NIL. tOSU reportedly is at $20M; Oregon & Texas A&M can't be too far behind.
Oregon is has close to 35 million for next year. I’m not sure what they have this year, but Jabber Muhammad got nearly 1 million and he’s just one solid starter for them.
So, the question is... how far can ASU or ISU jump with 2 more wins. Can they move ahead of Boise St?Nov 26 Top 25

AZ State seems to be on a roll....if they win out, I could see them passing Boise State
They should worry more about staying ahead of Tulane. Committee gave them a break in this poll by moving ASU ahead of Tulane.
Is this politics (in terms of getting ONE Big 12 team in the playoff)?
At the same time, is the committee pretty much saying what it thinks about the Big 12 when you look at what follows?
The 12 CFP teams broken down by Conference:
4 B1G (Oregon, OSU, PSU, Indiana)
3 SEC (Texas, Tenn, Georgia)
2 ACC (Miami, SMU)
2 Other (Notre Dame, Boise St)
1 Big 12 (Arizona State)
It’s going to be interesting to watch it play out. Whoever is “the winner” is likely going to have to go to Columbus for a first ever playoff game on their home turf.
It would be funny to see Tulane take that last playoff spot and leave the Big 12 sitting at home left out.

No. 12 was too many. How we skipped from 4 to 12 instead of settling on the perfect number of 8 is beyond me. Got some stupid people running things.Expand it to 16 and get rid of the byes.

Yeah and these long-ass TV timeouts make more money too. Doesn't mean it's good. Should have been 8 teams (assuming Pac 12 stays in the picture here because no one saw the conference imploding when the new playoff structure was completed) with 5 conference champions + 3 at large bids based on polls. Would have been perfect IMO.12 teams results in 4 more televised games, which results in more $$$. How much more would be interesting.
Fortunately for you, you won't have to worry about the Huskers being involved in this stupid postseason event anytime soon.No. 12 was too many. How we skipped from 4 to 12 instead of settling on the perfect number of 8 is beyond me. Got some stupid people running things.
