Is that because they think they will win their conference? That's how it's set up, right?

All of the upsets shook things up.

These 4 teams (which lost) WERE part of last week's 12 team CFP projection:

#5 Indiana lost 38-15 to #2 Ohio State
#7 Alabama lost 24-3 to Oklahoma
#9 Ole Miss lost 24-17 to Florida
#14 BYU lost 28-23 to #21 Arizona State

In the far left column you will see who WON and LOST this week. #1 Oregon was idle.

Alabama would smoke Any big 12 team

Alabama, when they are locked in, would crush almost anyone outside the top 5-7.

Deboer teams, even as UW, often played to the level of the opponent though. I’m a season ticket holder there and it was a blast but maddening haha.

College football is on crack this year and it is a beautiful thing. Aside from the top BIG/SEC games, the average big 12 game is fun. There’s a bit more talent in the league than people realize outside of CO.

ASU is playing better than them now. They remind me a bit of the Shonn Greene Iowa team.

They’ve gotten so much better the past month. Leavitt is an absolute stud at QB. Same with Tyson at WR. I hope ASU can hold onto them.
Saw that.

do you think AZ State will win the Big 12?

personally, I have no idea. they are equally bad, imo ;)

I think they have a good shot but I’ve seen them choke so much, it’s hard to say. Nobody makes fun of them more than I do.

This is the most I’ve seen ASU fans in AZ care about their team and direction of the program ever. The expanded playoff is great for the sport.

The talent has obviously evened out a bit more too, which is why Saban left. The ceiling of teams is lower but the floor is higher IMO.

Head-to-head is the first criteria. ISU and Colorado haven't played any of the other 3.

BYU would be out by their loss to ASU (0-1)
ASU would be in (1-0) beat BYU

Second criteria: Record against common opponents.
Identical 5-2 for Colorado and the clones

Third criteria: Win % against the next highest common opponent. TTech is likely that team which would favor Colorado.

How bout KState just take care of business on Saturday and put this to rest.

Crazy tie breakers in these mega conferences....

Pretty crazy. It has been highly entertaining. CFB is obviously very regional and everyone hates on things outside their region/conf, but this chaos and the debates that will ensue are way better than the 4 team playoff.

I still think it's garbage that a top 4 team's prize for being good is a bye followed my a neutral site game.

The first two rounds should be played on campus.

Boise as a 4 would be hilarious. See them get absolutely stomped by someone legit like Oregon or tOSU. 55-17 kinda night.

Boise State almost won at Oregon. I think Boise State has gotten worse and Oregon has gotten better though. Oregon would dominate if they played again, IMO.

It’s funny how every fan of 7-5 programs in the BIG/Sec want to see teams like Boise State get killed though. Boise State is far more likeable than teams like Oregon/OSU.

Big 12 has already put out an official statement saying that if ASU and ISU win, they will play each other in the Championship Game in Arlington.
