Not to make excuses, but it's obviously the Rose Bowl is a bowl game like no other, with all the festivities going on leading up to it, and Stanford has been in this game recently and it looks like they've figured out how to balance dealing with those festivities and focusing on the game as well. Rose Bowl "experience" has helped them tremendously.

some of you really need to quit with the excuse making. We don't get beat playing the P12 because we ate too much prime rib, surfed too much or partied w/ tom Arnold. We got our asses handed to us...again...because we actually played a real team. we ventured out of the Midwest & played on the road & left our security blanket. KF learned this from Hayden. Never play outside Kinnick unless you have to. You will be more competitive on the road in the B10 due to familiarity. We get our asses handed to us in these games because we are simply playing better teams. The nice guy stuff gets thrown out the window on bowl day. It comes down to talent. We don't have it. What you need to realize is this...we haven't had it all year.
