That was my thought as well, the idea is to attack them and force a mistake or safe ty and we give the guy a huge cushion.

Play-calling on these non-QB sneak 4th downs is lacking.......

I agree, I'd even say on the 3rd down before. If you already have the set of mind that "hey we're going for it on 4th down" then do something more creative on 3rd down. This week and last week we've ran it up the gut on 3rd down when our interior OL is not getting great push. What's wrong with a CJB run/pass option on a roll out?

Yup.

Either a miscommunication or a boneheaded error on Mabin. I know you don't wanna give up the 99-yd play action bomb, but it was pretty obvious if they weren't running it, that it was gonna be some kind of slant or quick throw.

Time to start playing well again, Hawks......
