*****Official Cubs 2019 thread*****

Isn't it funny that certain posters do not have anything to say during Cub winning streaks? :)

Dude, the Cubs are 1 game away from missing the WC. You happy about that?

I've been accused of rubbing salt in the wound when the Cubs suck. I'm merely letting you guys bask in the glory of a 5 game winning streak.

I'll start commenting again since you miss me.;) (And you can blame HawkedRugged)

Amazing ... I mentioned no one by name, yet you responded. There's 1. :)

Jon Morosi of the MLB network was on the Score today, and he had some interesting thoughts on the Castellanos free agency. Now, it's just an opinion, but he covers the game pretty closely, and he said NC has played his way into a five year deal, with at least $100 million, or more, guaranteed. Maybe a sixth year. A few weeks ago I wasn't hearing anyone going over three years, maybe a fourth guaranteed.

Would be ironic if Schwarber is the guy who carries this Cubs team to the Division title. He's been on fire in August and September and is having another good game tonight. Vindicate Theo if this happens?

Yes, as long as he trades him away.

Watching this broadcast and David Ross doesn't get how Cubs fans consider him a legend? Career .220 hitter and back up catcher. Humility. Rossie, you know why we love you man.

Zaidman on the radio ‘Darvish with 8 straight strikeouts, the major league record is 10’ batter lines out.... next batter, Gray ‘Darvish has retired 12 straight after the visit by.......and Gray with the single’. Nice work Zaidman.... oh, the score? Had to look that up while driving. He annoys the sh*t out of me.

He’s so bad.

The last guy couldn't throw a strike. Bull pen...hot mess.

Need to score 15 to win, I guess.

The production manager for espn loves him shots of the pipes on this Reds pitcher.

If they'd played all the shitty teams already, they might've had a 3-4 game lead, themselves......just sayin.

Tomorrow is big, obviously. As I pointed out a page or two ago in this thread, the last 65-ish games, the Cubs have gone directly from cold to hot to cold to hot to cold to hot. Win tomorrow and go into the STL series still hot.

Milwaukee's going to come in the back door and win the NL Central it looks like to me. Cubs and Cards will battle to a draw and Brew Crew will pass both.

Hope I am wrong, but that's how I see it.

Yep, the schedule has turned on StL and their bullpen is showing cracks. Cards and Cubs then get to beat up on each other and Milwaukee just sits back winning.

Funny ol' world, ain't it.

Wainwright vs. Scherzer... of course the f*cking Cardinals win.

Cubs vs. one of the worst starters in MLB tonight — chances they make him look like Cy Young?

Waino has been pitching very well lately. He has a 2.34 ERA in his last 7 starts; but out-dueling Scherzer is quite the feat no matter how well you are pitching.

Cubs would pretty much need to sweep the cardinals this weekend to have a chance and that’s not happening.
