Asterisk missed the par 3 eighth hole left and came up about 10 ft short here and would go 3 down.
I checked Golf Digest rankings and SHGC is still ranked in the top 30 (28th). Thought it may have slipped further. Thankfully the PGA was moved to May. The 2022 PGA at SHGC actually was a little chilly at times. Yesterday we got a great break, after morning rains temps topped around 80.Southern Hills is such an underrated course. I saw Tiger beat Ernie and others for the PGA; it was over 100 by 8 am. Just brutal temps.
Turned out awesome, such great weather! How did your mini golf vacation turn out, Hope you had a great time!
I believe he nailed it.
Anybody have any recommendations to relieve arthritis/tendonitis in your fingers? Happens about this time of year that middle finger (the FU one) on my right hand (trail hand in swing) and to a minor extent the third finger really start flaring up. The knuckles will ache and burn and damned if hitting a thin shot doesn't just make my fingers hurt terribly. Also get afflicted by Golf Trigger Finger after a day on the course where my fingers will cramp and seize up. Mostly happens on very hot days and associates with dehydration. Usually much better after plenty of fluids and disappears overnight with rest.
First thing I am looking at is changing my grips to something a little more shock absorbing. Right now I play Golf Pride Tour Wrap standard size grips. About time to change out my grips anyway and looking for something that absorbs shock and has better gripping when wet/moist so I will naturally not grip the club as hard.
Any other suggestions appreciated. No, rest and cutting back playing will not be one of them. Plenty of time for rest in November, December, and January.

Take ibuprofen before you start playing. Relieves the swelling. And drink a Gatorade or something similar while you're playing.Anybody have any recommendations to relieve arthritis/tendonitis in your fingers? Tough to disagree with that.....
One could argue Walter Hagen or Gary Player over Bobby Jones on a purely results based decision, but Bobby Jones impact on the game of golf as a whole was more than just majors won.
I'd put Arnie in front of those two, because of his immense popularity & bringing the game to the blue collar man. Might put him in front of either Hogan or Jones, bur would be tough to knock one of them off
Just a heads up. Noah Kent has made the Quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur. He is a Hawkeye and will play for a spot in the semifinals this afternoon, I believe he tees off at 2:30, Peacock has coverage from 4-5 then the Golf channel picks up the coverage.
Was curious also mentioned him several times but never said the name or the years he playedSo on the US Amateur broadcast, they showed Noah Kent’s uncle and said he was a former Hawkeye linebacker. Anybody know who that is?
One of us! Although I've never thrown a club into the water. Merely towards the cart.
