Mulvas 5-19 from 3. That can't continue at home, can it? Need to be ready for the second half barrage.
Gesell has 7 assists, but have any of them been because he made a good play? Serious question. Anybody can pass to Uthoff or Jok to drain threes.
I think he did look up but he didn't see it because it was turned off.
Lineups like this just make me think Fran doesn't have any answers for this team. Not sure why he thinks that lineup is going to solve any of Iowa's problems right now. At least he's trying but that's not saying much when you throw out that lineup.
Folks this team just overachieved. Too many issues and lack of athletes/players in the starting 5. You have Utoff and Jok to score the ball. Occasional Woody layup. MG and Sapp give you nothing scoring wise too many nights. Bench scoring down again tonight so we lack the 3rd scorer once again.
You would like to think a 4 year starter would be aware of the clock. Bau for mg at end of halfs.
It's fair. Guy played 4 years and can't make an open jump shot after being a scoring star in High School.
There was the nice pass behind woody for layup that may have been a turnover by MG that landed in right place.
We need to keep attacking. Do better job on the glass and close down the lane on dribble drive..... jump on them early and don't let up.

Gesell does good things, but how can a senior PG make that play. It's just.... There are not strong enough words for how bad a play that was, especially for a player with that experience.
Lol. Thankfully we can fallback on our experience in closing out close games to take us over the top.
Looking a bit better because other than the play to end the half, we've really valued posessions and not seen the bad turnovers. Seems like the team plays better when there's more swallow the whistle old fashioned Big Ten. Seems like there have been some missed calls on could but it's been both ways
This isn't old fashioned Big Ten basketball. This is two of the pansy finesse teams going at it. There have been few foul calls because both teams prefer to play clean. Other teams dare the refs to blow the whistle every play.
