smart by Fran/JoeT....under the bonus foul and NW ended up with 2.4 seconds. Little bit hard foul worried me though.
Well, overall, I think the zebras had a good half. They were consistent and the 50/50 calls were even. Hope that continues.
Is every non foul by Garza going to be reviewed for an elbow?
Could just be a sophomore slump from Toussaint I hope? Wouldn’t be surprised to see Ulis jump him regardless

He just needs to let the game come to him a little more. He needs to pass more to set up the offense, too. He seems to try to make something happen every time he touches the ball, even when it's not there.
49 on the road with a challenging week is huge. I’m reminded of that Indiana game a few years back! This team is different

Those first 2 offensive fouls he called were very obvious.
I think if Iowa wants to get to championship level they need to work on closing out on shooters better and fighting over screens.

Was Carstensen on the call during the OSU game which ended with Fran calling the officials f’ing cheaters? Might be wrong but I thought he was
wasn't 1st have a NW 3-fest? Fran had to sub the starters to get better length out on perimeter. Nunge also played pretty well all around. When Nunge plays like today, he is better than what Kreiner provided last year. Nunge just needs to get stronger with ball in his hands...that strip TO he gave up was classic Nunge weak with the ball.
Most importantly, it gave Iowa a chance to set up their defense.
I thought he was clearly going for the ball. Just got there a little late which made the contact a little harder. Pretty hard to call anything other than a common foul there.
I texted my cousins that the "elbow" reminded me of an Italian soccer player. Let me just take your arm and throw it into my face then I'm going to immediately look for the foul.

Agree. Kreiner was good but Nunge has a higher ceiling. He just needs to get stronger.

Fran was off his rocker that game and overreacted because Connor was involved in bad call.
The defense sucked and Iowa zone let the random bum go off from 3pt line. The calls were not going Iowa way but not the worst I've seen. I think at Breslin a couple years back was worse and also the BTT game vs MSU was back in Devyn marble years was worst I have seen.
