I don’t think he is either, Stanly is clearly #1. But you can’t tell me sitting a series on the bench to collect his s*** would make this any worse.
Super disappointed that PSU could make so many mistakes and we are tied.
The offense has got to play much better if we're going to get out of here with a W. Just a very strange half all the way around, if either of those errant balls from punts slow down in the end zone it could be a different game. I expect both teams to look cleaner in the 2nd half.
PSU backup QB has put up 10 pts. Stanley has-14 by my count.
Makes sense to start Stanley 2nd half and if he still playing light chit, pull him. Mansel at least gives you another runner PSU has to defend.
It’s only going to get tougher for the offense. They will be sending everyone since they know Stanley can’t make a throw.
Neither team is really moving the ball, both had one decent drive. Offense stats are nearly tied. If our D stays the course, we have the edge.
Couldn’t agree more. McSorley is clearly still gimpy. His backup has given us problems. I’d rather go against an immobile McSorley. His throwing motion seems to have been affected, too, as he missed at least a couple open receivers in a row in the same series.
I’d pressure him and make him try to run it. Maybe force a hurried throw.

Our RBs can't seem to figure out when to zig when they need to and zag when they need to, and Nate is playing so f***ing tight and afraid to make a mistake. I just don't get it. Our defense really isn't doing anything wrong, except maybe shedding our blockers a little sooner to limit their QB scrambling ability. Started strong then all of the sudden we're getting jammed up.
That's what happens when you don't capitalize on their mistakes. It gives them more freedom to call their game offensively. Limit their options as well as their possessions and you're gonna find it a lot easier to defend them.

Go watch some Christensen games. Still, that was his worst half ever. I think missing Hawkenson on that 3rd down play really screwed his head up.
Not saying Mansell is the answer, especially in this inept offense. I’m not sure Peyton Manning is the answer.

But their D-line has pretty much dominated our O-line, which is concerning. They’re shutting down our run game and Nate has had little time to throw and is therefore clearly flustered. This has to change for us to pull this one out.

Had both bad coaching decisions and terrible QB play for the second straight week. Guess he can't play in bad conditions. O line needs to hold them out a little longer.
We like to call ourselves OLine U but it seems like every year our OL under achieves.
