If anyone remembers worse basketball from an Iowa team than the last two halves, I admire your memory.
Maybe Fran should require these guys to defend. The zone is excuse for not being able to guard anyone straight up.

If you watch our offense. The guy with the ball and the next closet player are the only ones moving. Everyone else is standing and (I guess) spotting up for 3?

Maybe if we spent LESS time teaching 50 different BAD zone defenses and just drilled over and over how to play GOOD man defense, they could actually defend
Poor effort all the way again in half 1! Inconsistent D, a lot of easy buckets for the terps and no penetration or even the attempt to do! so how we are only down 9, well I guess Maryland will have to coach to that.
My memory doesn't have to go back all that far. We are not good, not even a little. We have been far worse.
clearly Jok's back hurts and is not himself for last two games. He is their leader. Team is searching for an identity and leadership right now. Lets see what happens.
Why are they playing zone? Because Trimble would run by Bohannon for a layup every single possession like he did right there to open the half. He should not be in there to start halves--Dailey or someone who can move their feet to play man against quick guards.
And please stop trying it throw it over the front man into the post! That's worked zero times this season and probably accounts for 25 turnovers just in B10 play.
