They are running away from the jet sweep motion basically every time

DEs aren't setting the edge. Linebackers, Bowers in particular, taking himself out of the play often.

He was clearly running out of bounds and the defender left his feet. It would seem to me that would qualify as a flagrant foul.

You're not protected until you're actually out of bounds or in a slide.

"Cleary running out of bounds" means nothing until you are actually out of bounds.

Well, whatever the outcome of this game this defense will not be able to stop Michigan or any top 15 offense. Major improvements need to happen. I'm sure they will, but this is awful. Penalties or not, it shouldn't even be coming down to that.

I have to agree. It was a nice season but Stanford showed what we really were. We will be about the same this year but will we win the close games like last year? Also schedule tougher this year
