When Daniels started looking like Mark Wiesman today coach couldn't help but get him the bulk of the touches

Good lord. NDSU uses all kinds of backfield action to keep defenders honest and make everyone a threat to get the ball. Iowa just turns and hands it off into an 8 man front. Iowa is the inky team left in organized football that doesn't spread teams out and run a bit out of shotgun.

I don't get why they waste a timeout here. Now if nds scores you leave yourself no chance to score.
This is a repeat of the same old issues. Stack the run on us and we don't have the skill people to get open and burn the D. Having two starters out on the O-line does not help. Bethard has seemed beat up even before today to be. He has looked less quick and nimble.
And... With those two rediculessly conservative Daniels up the middle calls with 3:20 left... Coach Davis now has a complete mess in his pants too
I sure did not expect this to be a walk in the park so to speak, but this has to be about the most sloppy performance from the offense I have seen in a long time. Give them a chance to get the ball back.
Great lets waste a timeout that we will need after NDSU scores here in a few plays. This offensive gameplay has been terrible all game long, we haven't run a pitch or stretch play to the wide side with Wadley, haven't tried much downfield since the first qtr. Defense has played a good game but they are tired and worn down.
