His best win is over #13 Allred. He's ranked appropriately based on who he has beaten. Can someone please explain to me how Glazier is ranked 11th

Preserved the major decision by having Plott waste time riding him. Forced plott to cut him to try for the major anyways after he wasted half the period.Absolutely asinine decision.
I could tell my wife she’s beautiful, but she’ll never be as hot as Katie Perry, doesn’t mean I should say it though.
Well, I feel like you need to post a pic, then.
The two are not mutually exclusive. Great dual meet win, poor match decision at 184.You really hate Brands that much that you had to dig that hard to find something to complain about? I mean they literally just thrashed a very good dual team and probably would have won by even more if Rathjen wrestled…
The problem is we was out all year with knee surgery and it's not a given he will be able to make 141.Idk man block was elite in high school and I think healthy he could be solid at 141. I say we reach out to McGonagle for 133 though
I mean with a 220 weight class, we could have Keuter there and then Hill at HWT...........Still sour? You do realize that AJ is still the plan, right?
Or, do you have data you just won’t share like you do for adding weight classes?
Well then it was an even worse decision if that's the logic. Sorry, elite recruits aren't put on the mat to waste time and avoid a major.Preserved the major decision by having Plott waste time riding him. Forced plott to cut him to try for the major anyways after he wasted half the period.
When a 197 can scramble the way he can I’m not so sure “limited” is the best way to describe his abilities.Doesn’t take away from it one bit. The kid wins because of his effort and heart. But, he is limited and that win showed that. You can be honest while still giving a complement…
Meh, not really a good choice either way and they took a gamble. If he goes down, he has to get out in 20 seconds to avoid riding time. If he gets out, then he needs one takedowns to tie it up. If he chooses neutral, then he would need two takedowns in the third period, when he hadn't even come close to getting close to Plotts legs in the first two periods. The two are not mutually exclusive. Great dual meet win, poor match decision at 184.
The funny part is, removing AJ from the equation, Glazier is the exact type of wrestler I cheer hardest for at NCAA’s. He came in unheralded and worked his way into the spot and has a chance to grind his way onto the podium. When a 197 can scramble the way he can I’m not so sure “limited” is the best way to describe his abilities.
Many on here are even bigger fans of Glazier than he would normally earn if there wasn’t so much hate for AJ.
CR 500 absolute beast of a dirt bike, legendaryI've been riding my old CR 500 all morning. I'm sore already

I respect what he has personally achieved as much as any one could and I will be cheering for him as hard as anyone in March. I just am the type of person to immediately and very visibly point out elephants in the room. This is especially true when the elephant is as big as AJ…
Agree. The problem is we was out all year with knee surgery and it's not a given he will be able to make 141.
Gives me a shit eating grin everytime I get on it. Even 20 years laterCR 500 absolute beast of a dirt bike, legendary
Cool story, bro….😉That's not how I see it. He's earned his fans this season through tough, over performing wrestling compared to expectations at the beginning of the season. Has nothing to do with AJ.
Ive certainly changed how I see him this year. He is really agile/funky and up tempo for a 97.That's not how I see it. He's earned his fans this season through tough, over performing wrestling compared to expectations at the beginning of the season. Has nothing to do with AJ.
Yes and you were a good sport on the Glazier pushback.May I please have a conniption fit while telling you, “I told you so!”?
😉😇✌️
Where’d you get your calculator?I mean with a 220 weight class, we could have Keuter there and then Hill at HWT...........
= National Championship.![]()
Maybe you've been smokin.idk what the hell is going on but i've agreed with like 5 MSU posts in the past week.

Definitely need a 33 transfer. How do kennedy and Arnold fare in the room? I see everyone penciling in arnold at 74 next year but Kennedy is ranked 7th and is not a full 74 yet.Man our lineup could be crazy next year with seibrecht and brands
125 ayala
133 schriever/peterson
141 block
149 seibrecht/rathjen
157 Kennedy
165 caliendo
174 Arnold
184 brands
197 Glazier
Hwt kueter
Next year will work itself out. Conferences are coming upDefinitely need a 33 transfer. How do kennedy and Arnold fare in the room? I see everyone penciling in arnold at 74 next year but Kennedy is ranked 7th and is not a full 74 yet.
To be fair he was a true freshmen who is undersized for that position and the guys in front of him will be playing on SundaysDude wasn't even top three in his position on the depth chart. Can we pump the brakes on this a little?
Freshman Hamiti I was convinced was going to win titles. Not a ton of progress since then, but then again 165 is a grinder.he’s been good this year and a returning AA. beat hamiti soundly. great performance from caliendo.
For perspective, if he were our starter at 184 he'd be ranked about the same as Glazier at 197 (top 12). He lost to #2 by the same margin that Glazier lost to #1. But Arnold's loss today gets a smug "I told you so," while the suggestion that Glazier isn't as good as AJ elicits a conniption fit.
My guess is Gabe will keep his RS and we see Riggins at big 10sThis. Today was about putting a guy in there that was tough and difficult to score on. However, Gabe would be our best shot at an AA at this weight and its not like 184 is filled with killers like 65 or as deep like 97. Gabe could pick some guys off. But to me, it's a big roll of the dice for him in terms of eligibility. If we were in contention for a title, it would be a no brainer. But I'd like to see Gabe get some U20 freestyle in at his own weight and continue to develop.
Ayala was my most frustrating match. He did nothing until OT. He has the ability and could’ve scored a TD earlier in the match. I don’t understand what he’s thinking.Best wrestling of the year. What a difference from Michigan dual.
Another win by Ayala in a wide-open weight class. Needs to pull the trigger earlier, but got it done. The more quality wins, the higher he gets seeded.
Teske wrestled tough, didn't give up bonus points. Fix could've used a bit of secret-formula-vitamin water in the third period.
Woods with a solid win in a QF-type NCAA match-up.
Ditto Franek with a R16-type match-up.
Nice upset by Caliendo in a QF-type match-up.
Kennedy solid win against round 1-type match-up.
Arnold wrestled well, good for him to get this match. To those who say they knew all along he should redshirt: way to make a bold call, LOL.

Glazier with a nice win over #16. He's ranked about right at #12, but he continues to look solid and certainly has a shot at AA.
And Kueter with the second big upset of the night--over #11. That's sniffing AA range. Yeah, I'd probably pull the shirt, not because we're in a dogfight for 1st, but because we're in a dogfight for 2nd-6th, and the future is more unknown for Kueter than Arnold.
VV's performance was the only one I was disappointed with. He didn't look horrible, just couldn't finish shots.
In short, a lot of tough matches, and we won most of them. I was pleasantly surprised by the final score, and am more optimistic that we can place top 3 at NCAAs than I was 24 hours ago.
I get what you’re saying and I think in most scenarios I would agree with you. The reason I think the strategy might be different here is because it’s Gabe Arnold. He’s likely redshirting this year. He’s 5’9 and not a natural 184 lber. At least it’s not his ideal weight, he’s said that before. Given that he’s going to redshirt I think today was a great opportunity to get a feel for someone bigger that has exceptional head hands defense and can put a hard ride on. Today was a learning experience. Today’s experience will make him better in the long run.Well then it was an even worse decision if that's the logic. Sorry, elite recruits aren't put on the mat to waste time and avoid a major.
Gabe needed 2 TDs to win the match and had already been controlled underneath so giving up RT was very likely, as was burning up half the period on bottom. Both of which happened, meaning he now had about a minute to score 2 TDs to win the match.
Yes, I get that for sure. Still would prefer to see him on his feet with an entire period to see what he can do in that situation.I get what you’re saying and I think in most scenarios I would agree with you. He’ll be hard as hell to ride when facing natural 174lbers and his strength and athleticism will help in his offense more than it would against a guy he’s giving up 4 inches and 15 natural pounds. If he was our starter at 184 all season long, then yes I would have wanted him to start on his feet in the third and work like hell to get to his offense.
I've always liked John Smith. Not a bulls#itter.
Thank goodness that Tom learned how to coach in the past month!Iowa was well prepared and knew exactly what was coming. Everyone says Iowa doesn't watch film and prepare for opponents where are all those people today. Oklahoma st looked lost and looked as if they didn't know what was coming
