Does everyone still want Purdue’s offense? Live by the pass, die by the pass. If you can’t run the ball when you’re up late in the game, it’s going to cost you. Purdue’s defense was gassed because of it.

I think he underestimated how good Iowa special teams are
I am summarizing with no stats in front of me. Iowa runs a roughly 55/45 run to pass ratio on their offensive playcalling and they complete just over 50% of those passes mostly to RB/TE's. I don't think anyone wants Purdue's offense, they would just like to see Iowa receivers catch the ball like Purdue receivers. Tonight they did and it was clear the issue is not the receiver......
Tyrone Tracy featured about as much as when he was at Iowa

Great to see Charlie look like a star and also great to see Purdue help out the Hawks and lose. 🤷♂️
So in one game, gimped a bit, and missing a series...Clifford had more touchdown passes than the entire Iowa roster threw in the final 8 games of 2021 combined. (*shudder emoji*)

The problem with Purdue has been they’re Achilles tendon…. They need to really really work in their defense- seriously… they’re run game has improved too.. but the defense was just dismal - defense wins championships and Iowa’s defense is going to be lights out and possibly the BEST in the nation.
This helps Iowa plus our transfers on their team no brainer to root for them
Purdue offense put up 24 offensive points against PSU.
Iowa offense put up 23 against PSU last year.

If you don’t have a greater appreciation for Kirk and his conservative approach after watching this game then you never will.
I actually was thinking of that QB compare after the game - both guys are ballers/gamers who had/have some head scratching moments...
I actually felt like I was watching an iowa game in that 4th quarter...
Well I will be damned! Yeah didn’t a lot of peeps think it would be close? Have to admit PEE U looked good - they both looked good to be honest
