I have been 1 of the many not on the Ferentz bandwagon the last few years but I completely agree. I may not always agree with his calls or the timing of them, but I love his approach this year. Kudos to the Captain.

Agreed. If nothing else, I've been pleased with the obvious change in mentality with this team. Multiple fake attempts. More aggressive play calling. Going with the more modern punt formation (even though I always liked the classic V). I still don't know what to make of this team, but from coach to player they definitely seem to want it more, so I'll keep watching and keep my criticisms minimal.

Man, changing the location of the starting kickoff has really nuked kickoff returns. Everything is out of the endzone unless there is wind. I would say just the ball on the 20 if it weren't for onside kicks.

Narduzzi side note - it'll be interesting if MSU suffers a noticeable defensive decline, cause as previously posted, it's like we're watching MSU out there.

You can tell Narduzzi was Mich St's defensive coordinator. It's a philosophy thing with him. Hit hard, hit high, eat the 15 yarder to knock someone out of a game.

So Pitt found out about who was refereeing the game earlier in the week and knew they could get away with high hits so they game planned for it? Crazy stuff there.

Only people to blame here is refs not controlling it. Not Pitt.
