*****OFFICIAL TRUMP CRIMINAL TRIAL THREAD*****

Tell us then,.. what is the felony crime they are going with?

Srsly?

This is TOO EASY, Cletus!

The indictment charged Trump with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, in violation of New York Penal Law §175.10.[93] Each count is related to a specific business document, each having a date ranging from February 14 through December 5, 2017:[7]

  • 11 for invoices from Michael Cohen
  • 9 for general ledger entries for Donald J. Trump
  • 9 for checks from Donald J. Trump
  • 3 for general ledger entries for the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust
  • 2 for checks from the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust
The allegedly falsified documents are related to Trump's payment to Stormy Daniels as hush money. The payments were listed in the business records as a legal expense payable to Michael Cohen, whereas the indictment alleges that they were actually to reimburse Cohen for the earlier, allegedly illicit, payment to Daniels.[94][95]

Falsifying business records in the first degree is a felony under New York state law that requires that the "intent to defraud includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof". This is in contrast to falsifying business records in the second degree, which is a misdemeanor that does not have that requirement.[7][94][95] In later filings, Bragg listed three such crimes that Trump allegedly intended to commit: violation of federal campaign finance limits, violation of state election laws by unlawfully influencing the 2016 election, and violation of state tax laws regarding the reimbursement.[96]

Now, you can go directly to NY statutes and the formal public charges, if you want.

Now, imagine an entire WH full of those "dumb son of a bitches" who do not understand the Constitution or Rule of Law, and just do what Trump tells them to do.

Tack on enough of them in Congress to run interference, and you have the end of Constitutional Law and democracy in the United States.
That's already happened and yet law and democracy live.

i don't know what point people think they're making by not understanding things that have been explained repeatedly here and is readily available online

spending money for the benefit of your campaign, but not declaring it is a violation of campaign finance laws

I think you are correct, that this is essentially what it's coming down to. However, this path appears to present (2) problems for the prosecution...

1. How does one prove, beyond a shadow of doubt, that the payment to Daniels was done solely in support of Trump's presidential campaign? That Trump had zero personal concern about this story getting out.

2. The campaign finance laws that I'm familiar with are federal statutes, not enforceable by the State of New York.

So I can see that you don't know what the "other crime" is either,.. Nice cut and paste though.

It couldn't hurt for Trump to just take the stand and say that in his defense.....

Why do you refuse to comprehend that we are in uncharted waters with what Trump/MAGA want to do to the government compared to anything else that's possibly in your head, historically? It truly comes across like Trump is nothing more than same old, same old.

He's not. This is different. 1/6 proved that. No peaceful transfer of power.

I'm a man of average intelligence but the lack of critical thinking these people exhibit makes me feel like a God damn Rhodes scholar.

No; there were people left who stood up for Rule of Law

Trump will not make that same mistake, twice.

Derpy do.

I've watched it,.. Perhaps you missed the multiple witnesses who testified that Trump was concerned about his wife and family hearing this story.

The jury will surely feel tremendous empathy for Trump for soliciting extramarital magazine spanking and unprotected sex with a porn star. Donald just wanted to protect his family!!

In all fairness, I've heard story after story where men have slipped and fell into a vagina on accident. Several times. Wouldn't that explain the raw dogging?

Wonder how Melania is dealing with the serial sex abuser and cheater? Man, she could have loaded up on more shoes and dresses with the cash that's getting drained to Lying Donnie Sexual Abuser's law firms trying to figure out ways to defend his acts.

I have reality. I have evidence that a Trump presidency does not in fact end democracy.
So by that logic we could also say that a person whom had survived say a meth habit and gotten clean should be able to go ahead and assume that they would survive a relapse, and therefore should see no danger in resuming their former meth habit?
