*****Ohio St vs Iowa Game Thread*****

Freeman seems to have hit a bit of a wall. Dembele while not super skilled is a very willing defender in the post. Last 2 games he’s been better than Freeman. Which is good in the long run. On another note I guess I’ve never noticed how little ball pressure we put on the dribbler. We basically allow the other teams to start their offense any way they want.
I'm excited about Dembele's potential. His rebounding is solid and defense isn't bad. I think he's going to be an important player in a couple years.

So playing devils advocate here… Ohio states 30 points in the paint gains a lot more perspective when you see we have 26….

I mean seriously we have really poor defense, but Ohio State State has three times the athleticism and clearly they’re not terrific defending the paint either…

Not the two “bad“ ever equal anything even OK, but it’s more reasonable, right🤷‍♂️
Actually no. Ohio St is a very poor offensive team. Very poor. Play slow. We’re a very good offensive team. Very good. But we just don’t even try on the other end. It’s so frustrating.

Oh I know…

Honestly PMAC is just a spaz… if he can just react and get downhill, he has some ability, he should never have the ball in his hands, other than coming hard to the rack…

He can't create his own shot off the dribble. Partly because he isn't quick but mostly because he's so worried about contact. He used to be pretty good at runners where he would avoid the defender/contact but hasn't been this year.
