We’re already in the have-to-win-the-big-ten-tourney-to-have-a-shot-at-the-ncaa-tournament type situation and so I could take or leave anything that happens in this game or the rest of the regular season so I’m not bothered right now or maybe that’s just having had one too many cocktails tonight, I’m not sure.
yep, need to play Dembele & Freeman together and clean that lane up.
There are only two guys that can defend the post--- Freeman and Dimbele. Sandfort is good rebounder, not very good interior defender. Krikke is awful at both defense and rebounding.
This game vs OSU the interior defense is bad again. Two touch fouls called on Freeman and he rode the bench. The zone was bad...didn't stop them and couldn't get the rebound.
I think we pull the game out in 2nd half. . Too bad we couldn't ask the 6'9 wing player to help out in post defense. PMAC is having okay game but it really hurts that he doesn't play his size.
They could definitely win their way back into the discussion, but this team doesn't have the fortitude to win at the level they'd have to.
Lolol.. pretty low bar for Pmac unfortunately......
Freeman just makes this team so much better when he's in the game.
He's never taken a shot he didn't think he got fouled on.
Iowa has success in the 1st going uptempo. I'd like to see them run.
I’m so tired of watching whatever team we play get layups, dunks or wide open 3’s. Those 4-5 minutes Pryce and Pat played together might have been the worst defensive minutes I’ve ever seen. It’s embarrassing.
And more than that….they are 2 of the worst on a team of at best, everyone of them, average to poor defenders….😂

So playing devils advocate here… Ohio states 30 points in the paint gains a lot more perspective when you see we have 26….
I mean seriously we have really poor defense, but Ohio State has three times the athleticism and clearly they’re not terrific defending the paint either…

Freeman seems to have hit a bit of a wall. Dembele while not super skilled is a very willing defender in the post. Last 2 games he’s been better than Freeman. Which is good in the long run. On another note I guess I’ve never noticed how little ball pressure we put on the dribbler. We basically allow the other teams to start their offense any way they want.
