Ok Cyclone fans, I have to admit

12-2 calling it now.

I'm glad you have high expectations. Life is different with expectations. I am only telling you this because I really do believe this is only the first (maybe second?) time ISU has ever had high expectations coming into a season. Best of luck. I at least know you'll be here the day after the Iowa game, win or lose.

I see Wall St is the new troll. Typical Clone. In another thread he said it was karma a 17 year old kid got hurt. Stay classy Clones.

I'm not sure where you saw that ISU is currently favored in 10 or more games, but I'm not doubting you did. I did a quick search and found the article which I've linked below. It shows the over/under on ISU is at 8 wins. Interestingly enough, the author thinks it's wise to bet on the under. Just because ISU might be a slight favorite in majority of games, there are still a handful of toss up games for ISU (Iowa, Texas, Baylor, TCU to name a few), which you can't expect to win every single one. If you are fortunate enough to win every toss up game on your schedule, then that's a special season and you're likely playing in your conference championship game in December. If ISU goes 8-4 or better, the season is a success. Not sure why anyone would think Campbell is under performing with 8 or 9 wins this upcoming season? Of course ISU fans hope we can get to 9 or 10 wins and have that special season. A win against Iowa is likely necessary for that to happen and Iowa is definitely one of those toss up games.

Personally, I think ISU does edge out Iowa and goes 3-0 in non-conference. I think they go either 7-2 or 6-3 in conference and get to that 9 or 10 win total. The importance of the game vs Iowa can't be overstated in my opinion.

Alright 98clone, the Iowa game is not a toss up game. It will be an upset if Clones don’t win.

Texan - but it is Iowa’s Super Bowl. ISU cares more about the Kansas game right?! Jesus. Just glanced and CF has more posts today on Iowa football recruiting than anything having to do with ISU and the Big 12 combined. That is sad. Or should I say yikes, woof, trolllol, or whatever else the vernacular is by the highly educated unemployed CF posters with 50k posts on Iowa.

That is such an old and tired argument, not to mention an invalid, ignorant interpretation. Hanging your hat on the CFP, in which your conference has zero wins, is pretty weak. Thankfully, Iowa doesn't need other conference teams to fight our battles. We do fine with 9+ win seasons, top 25 finishes and regular victories over ISU without anyone's help.
The SEC is the clear #1 conference. After that, it is shades of gray between the conferences and matchups between teams, any given saturday, home vs away, who's hot and who's not, etc.

B12 has nothing to hang their ahead about, over last 3 seasons, B12 is 13-8 against other conferences and winning record, and in last bowl season 6 of 7 B12 defenses held opponents below their offensive averages.

I’m not sure I take more than two offensive players from isu over Iowa at their positions. Maybe take good-Jones and move him to guard. Jones at wr, maybe? Maybe a te? You’re irrational. Isus defense should be good, but again Iowa’s will be better. Purdy was awful the second half of last year.

Duh

Maybe read my piece over again. Iowa’s not going to allow Iowa State to have the gameplan they came in with last year on defense. Stanley is a gunslinger from the shotgun and has plenty of weapons. Iowa by at least 2 TD’s. And yeah, Purdy faced an average of #81 defense in the contests he played and regressed thruout the year. He’ll have a big wake-up call this year against us.

Pie in the sky is typical. Who is he going to throw to again? It is a below average wr group coupled with inexperienced TEs. I suspect the backs to get touches but that plays right into the strengths of the ISU defense. Hawks won’t win by two TDs because they won’t come close to scoring two TDs

All we hear about is how the B1G doesn't put a team in the playoff, even though OSU won a natty not that long ago and no Big 12 team has won a playoff game since this format was adopted. So, since it is only about your playoff team, your obscure stat about holding opposing teams before their scoring average doesnt wash. Bama averaged 45.6 for the season and scored 45 against hands down the best Big 12 team. They would have scored 70 if they hadn't gotten bored at halftime. Bama's offense in the first half of that game looked like letting the computer sim a game on Madden. 10-15 yards minimum every time they snapped the ball.
OTOH, mighty OU averaged 48 for the year. They scored 34 against Bama, again, largely because Bama took a nap at halftime from being bored.
The Big 12 is the weakest of the P5 conferences. The NFL has shown this to be the case year after year.

The offer about staying away from the other team's board after the game is still there, Twins. Havent seen any acknowledgement from you yet.

U apparently know nothing of the Iowa wide receiving unit.

I know that the Returning WRs had 4 receptions in last years game out of 6 total that did not go to the 1st rd TEs. I know that the hawks are desperate to get Martin eligible to maybe have an average group. Like I said before, the Iowa WRs scare no one

Well come Monday the spokesman for ISU will not be posting. Weird how business owners don’t pay attention to business until they do. Bye bye Cy Twins. I am sure you will get another name but the owner of CF called u “a ****ing embarrassment to all Clone fans.” And Cy Twins won’t be tweeting at recruits or lying anymore. Sad he will be back but funny the person who owns the website wants zero to do with the loser. I guess 50k posts on Iowa doesn’t buy u much equity huh Twins?!

Tell me when someone mentions the Iowa QB for Heisman.

Your team scored 3 points last year.

Iowa has had two QB’s finish second in Heisman voting in the last 35 years. Has that happened with Iowa St?

I chuckled at that one, too. Has a sane, sober person mentioned Purdy as a Heisman candidate? Of the top 20 candidates per Vegas odds, three of them are Big 12 players (Hurts, Ehlinger, and the TT QB). The B1G has five players on the list (no, Stanley isn't on it and I wouldn't expect him to be).
Stanley IS fifth on Daniel Jeremiah's list of NFL QB prospects for the 2020 draft. Hurts is the only Big 12 QB on his list and he is 13th.

Graybeard, I will give you this, you love your hawkeyes and the B1G, lol

I think it is obvious that bias exist instead of looking at actual performance and the individual performance metrics. If you believe a 58% completion QB, that was throwing to TEs that went in the 1st round of the NFL draft, has any chance at an early round draft choice or even being mentioned as a heisman contender, then you must give money to every pc repair company or law enforcement support cause that contact you. Stanley should have completed over 70% with those two guys to throw to. I am sure it had something to do with B10 defenses. LOL!!!
