Illinois is 4 and 3 over the last seven games and the margins have been close. A team can get tight when needing to share the B1G Championship. Iowa on the other hand is guaranteed 4th place, but they would be sharing it with Rutgers and the tie breaker for seeding goes to RU. This has happened to Iowa more than once since Fran has been the coach. Iowa can play loose since the only thing on the line is the double bye.

The official, who made the decisive call in the first Rutgers-Iowa game, is one of the worst, most inconsistent officials in college BB. I guess he had a plane to catch or a dinner reservation.
