Potential portal target for Fran

And NIL is a good thing because??? I think players should be compensated, but should recruitment in college sports be largely determined by the school that is the highest bidder?

see the Hunter Dickinson thread.

Michigan wasn't paying him enough.

Kentucky could not guarantee his NIL income. Kansas could.

He's going to Kansas.

Sounds like pay for play and like he's an employee, to me.

It looks like his parents may be loaded.. so hopefully that helps us lol

He'll probably get an offer of guaranteed money from the NBA. So you'll have to at least beat that amount of money. To even get considered.
You have to be a first-round pick to get guaranteed NBA money, correct? I'm seeing Nelson listed as a likely second-rounder at this point, though that is obviously subject to change. Seems a little like Kris Murray last year -- outside shot at late first-round, but more likely a second-round selection.

Exactly my take. Universities now also have professional athletes.

I guess my next question is what good is the NCAA. It siphons away millions of dollars, but do universities get much benefit that leagues couldn't band together do even better?

just look at the woman's team LSU, 9 new players all from the portal the 2 that played a huge role were transfers from Maryland, Reese and Carson.

Mulkay brought in 9 hired guns. this vs Bluder who had no transfers on her roster.

after he gets done in the NBA Eval's, now my question is when is the last day they can with draw from the NBA predraft workouts?
He's currently ranked #69 on this site, which is a pretty solid resource.

Odds are looking good he decides not to officially declare.

Iowa's odds in landing him are probably low, but he'd flourish in Fran's system and we do play in a premier BB conference with plenty of exposure.

he would make another big body for the front court.
6'11 Mulvey
6'11 Freeman
6'11 Nelson
6'9 Krikke
6'9 Dembele
6'9 Patrick

this is what Fran needed last season vs having just these
6'9 Rebraca
6'9 Patrick
6'8 Murray

even if Mulvey isn't ready to step up that would still leave Fran with 5 players 6'9 or taller to use.

Was Mulvey not on the roster last year?
Or Ogundele?

based upon the past players developing. the most notable being Olaseni.

Jok avg'd 7 ppg as a SO then avg'd 16 ppg as a JR. those are 2 of the more notable Hawk's
Hmmm, okay.

I hope you're right, but my gut instinct is telling me that Krikke and Brauns are being brought in for a reason. Not too mention they went hard after Mack and are throwing their hat in the ring for Nelson. I think Mulvey would be best served if he started sending out feelers to schools in the Northeast Conference or the MAAC with an eye towards the portal next year. If he ever wants to see meaningful minutes anyway.

after Fran lost these he had to go after them
6'8 Murray
6'9 Rebraca
he really had no choice
Then Ogundele left he was left with very few options at the 4 or 5 spots.
sorry but Mulvey was the only true 5 left

now Fran has these to play at the 4 and 5 spots,
now he will have these at his disposal
6'11 Mulvey
6'11 Freeman
6'9 Krikke
6'9 Dembele
6'9 Patrick

6'11 Nelson would be the Icing on the cake.

N.I.L. is supposed to be for name, image or likeness. How is the swarm using the players name, image or likeness?

If it is pay for play, all the players for all the schools should be ineligible.

multiple = 1, now who's lying and a moron. also who is this 1 transfer?

You really are aggressive with your stupidity, aren't you?

Iowa had MULTIPLE transfers on the roster last year:

Molly Davis from Central Michigan
Kylie Feuerbach from Iowa State

Here is another lie by you...Carson never played at Maryland....she played at Georgia Tech and West Virginia before LSU.

LIAR!!!

why do you make the claim that I hate any coach when I post verifiable stats/facts?

Iam note a big follower of the womens team so I look up the stat's
