You have to be a first-round pick to get guaranteed NBA money, correct? I'm seeing Nelson listed as a likely second-rounder at this point, though that is obviously subject to change. Seems a little like Kris Murray last year -- outside shot at late first-round, but more likely a second-round selection.

Usually teams talk with guys that they don't feel are worth a first rd pick or vs a second Rd stash. But they do think have value in there organization and are w fit.

neither were capable of spending much time on the court to have a impact. this year it is my opinion that Mulvey takes that step forward to be a solid player that can/will give Fran 15 mpg
based upon the past players developing. the most notable being Olaseni.

also the most common notion about big's is that ussually take longer to develop but with you they have to dominate from the day they step foot on campus other wise they are a complete failure with out any chance of developing.

I hope you're right, but my gut instinct is telling me that Krikke and Brauns are being brought in for a reason. Not too mention they went hard after Mack and are throwing their hat in the ring for Nelson. I think Mulvey would be best served if he started sending out feelers to schools in the Northeast Conference or the MAAC with an eye towards the portal next year. If he ever wants to see meaningful minutes anyway.
