Proctor?

What athlete is going to a school because of the athletic director?!? I know you are trying to be funny and ironic but this was awful.
I mean we would have been better off these past three years offensively without an offensive coordinator or with an “interim” offensive coordinator, than what we had.
An OC does not matter one bit either. won't matter until mid-February when they need to be in meeting kids and developing the offense ahead of spring ball.

FWIW read this on another board from early this morning..."Apparently Proctor is homesick and wants to come back to Iowa (this was pretty much a done deal before the bowl game). The rumor on the Alabama board is that he will enter the portal today. I've also been told Proctor is one of three transfers lined up to come to Iowa this spring (and possibly a fourth if the new OC wants to bring in a new QB). In order to get under the scholarship limit, the program is going to take a few seniors off of scholarship and have the NIL collective pay for their tuition. The original estimate was that the program would be five players over the limit, but it is possibly going to increase to 8-10 players. "

Believe it’s been discussed before. Taking kids off scholarship is not allowed unless 4 years have been completed. The only player I see that applying for is dejong? Maybe one other. But I could be wrong I just remember someone else explaining in detail that you simply can’t just switch kid from scholarship to NIL.

There will be a few transfers after spring and there is usually at 1-2 players who medically hang it up , I would not be too worried yet but truly if Proctor comes back WR and maybe a CB is really the only spots I could even fathom any adds.

Need a backup QB if Lainez hasn’t passed Deacon and probably want one anyway. Having this loaded roster and being another Cade injury away from Deacon starting would be a travesty. I would actually put that as priority 1 and a WR as priority 2.

Yeah, KF is a lot of things, I'm sure, but someone that pushes people out, I'm absolutely 110% sure he isn't. Continuing to help these kids get an education for free, which was the initial guarantee, is the way to go if they can't quite cut it and don't want to leave of their own accord or can't. It's one of the best qualities of KF for sure. He just doesn't have it in him.

Maybe medically redshirt DeJong

Keep an eye on OSU for Proctor as they might go after him hard with their OL being their weak spot last year.
I think anything’s possible. But I don’t see why he would leave bama for anywhere but Iowa or Oregon (last minute visit last year that started the possible decommit) once again people bring up money, which certainly could play a role but I can’t imagine these schools offering that much more than they did last year. So my gut says iowa with Oregon 2nd.

So....we actually do want Proctor now? Didn't a bunch of you guys absolutely berate his mom and family when he committed last minute to Bama? This site went absolutely nuclear and I'm surprised you didn't burn it down. Weird that you haven't kept that same energy and now you want him back so bad? Bunch of hypocrites on this board.
Just imagine what Bama fans are saying about him leaving 😳

They can take a kid off scholarship if they also take him off the roster. He could still get a non-football scholarship to complete his degree. The Hawks have done this occasionally, such as with Cy Phillips and Spencer Petras.
