I entered Rudock's stats in a calculator on the linked site to see what his rating was last night. It came out to 118.69. I watched part of the game and saw him miss an open receiver long more than once. What is considered a good rating?

BTW, One ESPN article described one of his TD passes as throwing into triple coverage.

Points for: Formula: Calculation: Result:
Completion percentage 100 * completions / attempts 100 * 27 / 43 62.79
Yards per attempt 8.4 * yards / attempts 8.4 * 279 / 43 54.50
Touchdowns 330 * touchdowns / attempts 330 * 2 / 43 15.35
Interceptions -200 * interceptions / attempts -200 * 3 / 43 -13.95
Computed rating (total points):
118.69

At first glance one may argue the decision to make that throw into triple coverage. But the fact is Michigan needed a big play, Rudock picked out his favorite target and to this point what looks to be one of the best TEs in the conference, and put it where his receiver had the best chance to go up and get it.

Butt had an advantage over all 3 of those guys and they executed that play to near-perfection.

That was the good Jake......
