It would be nice to have some depth at 133 considering Cullan’s history with injuries. There would still have to be unknown things happening behind the scenes at 133 for this make sense, imo. Injuries?

Sure. But to transfer in for a year as depth? Has to be more to it if he signs on, imo.It would be nice to have some depth at 133 considering Cullan’s history with injuries.
Maybe something at 125?Sure. But to transfer in for a year as depth? Has to be more to it if he signs on, imo.
Transfer in for a year of riding the pine behind Spencer Lee? Really? Who would transfer in their last season of eligibility as a room guy?Maybe something at 125?
Maybe an "in" to the room with hopes to join the HWC after he graduates?Transfer in for a year of riding the pine behind Spencer Lee? Really? Who would transfer in their last season of eligibility as a room guy?
I wondered that, too. Seems like quite the sacrifice for that to be an actual plan.Maybe an "in" to the room with hopes to join the HWC after he graduates?
Looks wise he’s a pretty muscular kid, and like 5 or 6 years ago he won a Junior National Greco-Roman title at 132 lbs while still in HS. He competed at 133 in 2020. He was a B12 runner-up and finished 5th at NCAAs in 2021. I imagine the weight cut probably didn’t help him too much. He’s got a ton of experience, and IMHO a slight upgrade over Schriever. Can anyone provide an assessment of Lamont? Going solely from wrestlstat, he has tight matches with everyone in the top 20--like a Murin or Young. 5th in '21, R16 in '22. Either cutting too much weight, slight injury, took his foot off the gas, or just a coin-flip kinda style. Anyone she'd more light?
you can’t even detect the sarcasm. your exact response to an earlier Iowa post. Not really.....

I would pick him to either win or lose a close one to just about anyone. He’d be a crap shoot at a National Tourney. He would be pretty solid in a tightly contested dual as he’s got the skills to keep it close with top rated wrestlers.Lamont wouldn’t be a for sure AA or anything but I would pick him to beat schriever in a close one if they were to wrestle right now.
Nice English manSo what u all are saying is go after other teams recruits to put over brand’s recruits is the Iowa way now
We’re saying, go get the talent to win national titles. Once they come to Iowa, they are Iowa recruits, dummy. So what u all are saying is go after other teams recruits to put over brand’s recruits is the Iowa way now
In this new transfer portal era of college wrestling not going after transfers would be a quick way to make sure you don’t win a team titleSo what u all are saying is go after other teams recruits to put over brand’s recruits is the Iowa way now
That's just everyones way now...kinda sucks....So what u all are saying is go after other teams recruits to put over brand’s recruits is the Iowa way now
