If you believe the rumors, Rocco was upset at Ryan for telling him he's redshirting and moving up to 184 next year without even giving him a chance to challenge Kharchla for 174, and that precipitated the trip to Stillwater and transfer rumors. He and Tom (again, if you want to believe the rumors) had a sit down yesterday and afterwards, he decided to stay, so whatever Ryan said or gave him was enough to heal the wounds and calm the storm. I don't know if that just means they upped the NIL or if he's going to challenge Kharchla and pull the shirt if he wins or if he's going to go 184 this year or if Tom just convinced him that his way of thinking was the right thing to do. I'm just passing on what I've read and I have no first hand or inside information on this, so take it FWIW, but it looks like he's staying put.
DT for sure knows and approves but much the same Brands was definitely aware and approved of pursuing top ASU talent with NIL.

I'd think money in their pocket is more enticing than money they would never see. Also, if you were able to get tuition down (which every single college in the country can do whatever they want to with tuition), wouldn't you want 50K each year and just pay the low tuition cost?
Ultimately it’s a math problem. I want the best deal possible. I guess I do know how public universities get tuition down if your parents are financially able and u don’t qualify for scholarship academically. A 50k education with room and board tax vs 50k that’s taxed at what rate…help me out. Again I’d Probly take whatever maths better

pearsall has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar multiple times already but for some reason the pundits haven’t mentioned a peep. i remember all the times iowa was going to get in trouble over tampering with transfers. overall it doesn’t matter because like vhs said it’s the Wild West and nobody is going to get in trouble.

And they weren’t the ones who started/maintained the discussion or brought him to Stillwater.

Coaching staffs know way more and are much more involved than just knowing they are in town talking to money people. They are more like the silent partner making decisions other than money. At least that's what I think, no booster is going rogue without inside input.
The chances that the guy who’s name is on the wrestling room is approaching guys on his own is absolute 0.

just stop man, Boosters are not going after guys that DT and Staff dont tell them to. They knew because they set it up even if they didnt meet up at the visit. Brands tells Bob who he wants just like DT tell whoever their "Bob" is.
You're 100% wrong about this. It doesn't always start with the coach asking a booster to reach out.
