PurdueYeah. Cade isn't going to sniff an opportunity to come into a major program as QB1 unless he can find a total dumpster fire with no idea what they are doing.
Like Iowa in 2023.

I'm sorry but I've lost faith in the average Iowa fan's ability to evaluate high school quarterbacks. They've pretty much loved every recruit that Iowa has landed since 2017, just like the staff.Watch lIl Fitz HS tapes and tell Me that Kid is not a P4 future QB . Kid is very good
Wait a minute. What is Sully going to do then? 🤔He should get the Sully role this year in the red zone, that kid can move.
playing the Cade role.Wait a minute. What is Sully going to do then? 🤔
I'd say he is telling himself that. I'm actually tentatively surprised he isn't sticking around with Kirk telling him he can be the starter. If people are still telling him he has a shot at the NFL, he needs to listen to new people.
They don't even have a staff yet to the best of my knowledge.Purdue
don't they have Card? Two years ago that dude looked pretty solid.Purdue
So Sully is supposed to become a weak armed statue with slow decision making and an innate ability to injure himself?playing the Cade role.
toucheSo Sully is supposed to become a weak armed statue with slow decion making and an innate ability to injure himself?
Petras was superior to Cade in pretty much every way.He can't play at any Power 4-5 school and I'm also including the Mountain West at this point. Now, if he were to somehow get magically healthy ( 2 % chance from what I've seen) he could maybe go play at a lower level. Petras put up pretty big numbers this year but he was healthy and always had a much better arm than Cade.
Makes sense for him to move closer to home out West, but I actually think the Mountain West is too good of a league for him (as well as the AAC). I don't know what Nevada's situation is, but they're obviously in rebuild mode, so if their QB of the future is still a year away from being a impact and they need a 1-year guy to fill the gap, then maybe that would be a possibility. Otherwise I'm thinking MAC or CUSA if he really wants to stay in FBS.My only disagreement would be that I believe he still thinks he can make the league. He isn't getting there at an FCS program. Maybe a mountain west school?
Since when is 2315 yards passing big numbers? He can't play at any Power 4-5 school and I'm also including the Mountain West at this point. So the guy who was recruited to play QB was told that's not an option anymore and he is now a wide receiver isn't happy? Go figure.Zero surprise.
Notice how he didn't thank any of the coaches or described about his great time here.
Pretty clear he is NOT happy.
I'm not sure why he wouldn't be happy. The coaches gave him every single opportunity and even played him when they probably shouldn't have been playing him. He looked like a 50 year old man at the end.Zero surprise.

I thought he was referring to Resar?I'm not sure why he wouldn't be happy. The coaches gave him every single opportunity and even played him when they probably shouldn't have been playing him. He looked like a 50 year old man at the end.
Also when you come in wanting a shot at QB and end up reporting to a WR coach in his first year with questionable qualifications on a team that doesn't use the position well currently....no brainer here. This happens everywhere. Kids aren't willing to sit and be backups, they want to play. No matter where. No blame on either side from me. And yes, since Stanley our QB room, coaching, etc has all been a steaming pile of shit.
Last Guy that called Me average in the pub ate jello for a month and wondered why His gash smelled like Burberry cologne the next DayI'm sorry but I've lost faith in the average Iowa fan's ability to evaluate high school quarterbacks. Over/Under on him landing somewhere in Utah?Wow, that was quick.
Dreams die hard.If people are still telling him he has a shot at the NFL, he needs to listen to new people.
I was referring to the people you were asking to review his skills being average. I would never refer to your as average.Last Guy that called Me average in the pub ate jello for a month and wondered why His gash smelled like Burberry cologne the next Day
So for your reference Petras did it in 9 games. 214-327 for 2315 yards, 17 TD's and 11 picks. 65% completions. In 12 total games, we threw for 1580. Look, it's different style of play, I get it but we have an archaic passing game. It's ok to admit that.Since when is 2315 yards passing big numbers?
Apples to oranges and Iowa has one of the worst passing games in the country, plays in a major conference. For your reference Debby had a true freshman throw for 2600 yards in the BIG. They aren't world beaters by any means. So for your reference Petras did it in 9 games. 214-327 for 2315 yards, 17 TD's and 11 picks. 65% completions. In 12 total games, we threw for 1580. Or not. There won't be much room for "projects" outside of the freshmen class moving forward. I second year QB making the switch to WR doesn't seem to make good use out of your 105. He'll serve someone else better at QB.
Stanley was comically bad?Iowa's QBsituation si ce Beathard is comically bad.
No, Stanley was a positive but I think MitchLL means the QB situation overall - at the macro level - and I have to agree with him there - Stanley was exception to the disappointing norm - hopefully with Lester we improveStanley was comically bad?
Good thing for Me just as You the only Person's opinion that truly matters is ones own I put a smiley behind My initial comment hence humor , You know a joke. dipshitI was referring to the people you were asking to review his skills being average. I would never refer to your as average.
You are definitely way below average.
Easy there sparky. I was just having fun.Good thing for Me just as You the only Person's opinion that truly matters is ones own I put a smiley behind My initial comment hence humor , You know a joke. dipshit
Can't blame the kid if he wants to play QB, go to a lower level and take a shot.again no issues imo for iowa but from resar’s perspective poor move imo. he has zero cfb experience, so there won’t be many takers in the portal particularly willing to play him at qb. dude should’ve stayed and got some experience.
straight to the point. no thanking god and the coaches. somewhat refreshing statement.Zero surprise.

Meh. The kid wants to play QB and was told by Iowa that he would have an opportunity to do so. He probably feels like he never got a fair shot and he's basically still a high school recruit that's still looking to play the position he was being recruited at. He had a decent offer list.again no issues imo for iowa but from resar’s perspective poor move imo. he has zero cfb experience, so there won’t be many takers in the portal particularly willing to play him at qb. dude should’ve stayed and got some experience.
