Would have liked Kisner myself.

doesn’t matter anyway when our team hates each other.
 
I like the Scheffler pick , team is going to have a tough time with that Euro lineup.

I know, but it's not like our veterans were bringing home the cup every couple of years. I am all for changing the "look" of the team in hopes of different results. Although it will be tough, as WS seems like a course the Euros will dominate during a Ryder Cup event

I just invented this pool for me and some buddies. Let's see how we do here.

Pick one Auto Qualifier and One Captain's Pick from each team as well as one Captain's pick to use as a substitute. The Europe Captains picks haven't been named yet.

Scoring will be the total score of your main players. If one of your players sits, the sub will play that day. If Two of the three sit, your remaining player will count double. If all three sit...sorry. Goose egg.

Look at the US Open tennis results this week. Youth is kicking ass!

I like the new blood. And I like having salty/difficult guys who will get under opponents’ skin.

Like our team a lot. I actually love the Finau and Sheffler picks as they are golfers that can beat anyone when hot.

My biggest concern as a group is not a lot of strong putters in your main group outside of Cantlay and BK

Hatton is #17 in the WGR. Fitzpatrick or Lowry would be other likely candidates.

Side note: I'll be in attendance Saturday and Sunday!

I'm fine with Lefty as an assistant captain. I was really concerned that we were going to put him as a player.

Now I'm really just hoping to see a doubles matchup with Keopka and DeChambeau on the same team.

I am assuming Koepka's wrist is ok, but no way on that pairing. The methodical play of Bryson might lead to a stabbing by Brooks. Bryson is probably best paired with Berger or Morikwa .

I would think Cantlay is best with Bryson since they played lights out together for their last 8 holes two weeks ago.

I would have liked to have seen Kisner and Na get the picks over English and Berger, but it’s good to see some new blood on the team regardless.

I think the USA team picks reflect a little desperation by the PGA. They need to identify “the future” for their team as the Euros are pretty solid with their picks the next couple of Cups. A lot of heat of Stricker to make this year’s Cup competitive. Paris was an old fashioned butt-stomping. Can’t have that again. New blood is unproven but it has potential.
It will be interesting to see if the press can ignore the #800 pound gorilla in the room. You know Reed isn’t going to go quietly as long as the media feeds him. It is who he is. Reed and Stricker are about as polar opposites as you can get. The golf media is no different than the political media...and Reed v Stricker is a compelling story...and low hanging fruit, too.

Jcc… you are trying way too hard here. It’s about winning a Ryder Cup and you just wanna rip on a non-entity. Reed is not on the team. Why worry about him?
This “team” has done real issues ahead of it and lots of questions to be answered…. And not one of them has to do with P Reed. You are as myopic as the media here. Patrick Reed will take care of Patrick Reed….I’m betting he will be on several teams before he is done. The guy is a helluva player and thrives on the moment. It is possible too, that his health (double pneumonia) might have been a concern and affected his selection.

Friday: Cubs vs Cards @ Wrigley then Casino in Milwaukee
Saturday: Attend Ryder Cup
Sunday: Attend Ryder Cup
Monday: Golf at Cog Hill #4 on the way home

Right now I can only bet on the winning team. I'm assuming you will be able to bet on all of the matches after the pairings are announced.

We were at the Wisconsin Dells over the weekend and am kicking myself for a lack of foresight. Packer ( America's team ) hosts Detroit tonight. ( Lots of Iowa players involved and wife's connection to Detroit training staff would have gotten us tickets. ) Then could have watched 3 Cardinal games in Milwaukee and then then down to watch the sweep of the Cubs at Wrigley, then back to Wisconsin and sneak into the Ryder Cup like an illegal across the Rio Grand...
