Season Highlights / Lowlights

[Spaceman Spifff]

Thought it would be a good time for people to list their best and worst moments thus far this season. I would suggest listing 3 of each, and the more specific the better.

Here are mine:
Highlights:
1. Young somehow throwing Bleise to his back to win the match. I know it was a boring match, but that throw was crazy!
2. Bull beating Wick at Midlands. Redemption.
3. Desanto beating Suriano. This kid can do anything.

Lowlights:
1. Picc beating Spencer. Rooting hard for this kid and hate to see him lose.
2. Sloan beating Warner. Warner is so important to 2020 and 2021 and this was hard to take. Looks like he has improved a lot since.
3. Rivera beating Spencer.

Anyone else care to chime in?

Highlights:
1. Stoll beating Gremmel to win the meet

Lowlights:
1 Stoll wrestling at 50% of himself his SR year.

1. The announcement that KemDawg was done for the year. 174 has been cursed this year.
2. The way we wrestled in the ISU and OSU duals.
3. Watching Spencer and Sam wrestle as shells of their old selves so far this year.

Highlights
1. The Bull pretty much all year has not dissappointed!
2. Getting Desanto in the room and watching him wrestle this year, especially against Suriano!
3. Young being a solid AA contender this year. Lugo beating Gfellar and Wilke beating Venz are right there as well.

Here are some that haven’t been listed.

Lowlight
Lugo losing to Rohlfing really lowered my expectations.
Wilson getting injured against ISU. He was looking good in that match.
Stoll losses to Jensen and Hillger.

Highlight
DeSanto beating Lizak, made me believe he could beat Suriano. Also the win over the Nebraska kid.
Bowman beating Brunner.

1. Marinelli gutting out the big win on Eli's day
2. Shaw's big weekend near the end of January
3. Bowman's cut, winning last home match of career in closing minute
4. DeSanto's positive energy
5. Young's throw

Highs:
1. DeSanto’s Nebraska antics. Yep I’m that classless. Hi cesspool! I’ve watched and shared that so many times I’d be dishonest if I didn’t say it.
2. The Illinois & Purdue meets where backups made statement wins filling-in for starters.
3. Marinelli’s relentless aggression and pinning—especially at OSU and ISU.

Lows:
1. Losing KemDawg
2. Lee’s losses. There is no joy in Mudville when Mighty Casey strikes out.
3. Stoll-gate and all its implications.

Spencer's illness that prevented him to be untouchable.

Highs DeSanto I got this coach tops the season.
Almost every DeSanto and Marinelli match. Especially the wins over Wick, Suriano, and Lizak.
