Session III Thread

Is Coop a 1 and done...ie...has he used up his eligibility?
Yeah, I think so right? Competed one year at JUCO, one year at Upper Iowa, and two years at Iowa.

2015-16 (Current season)

2014-15 -- went 12-5 at 149 and 157 pounds, going 1-0 in dual competition... placed fourth at Joe Parisi Open and second at Luther Open... won a title at Grand View Open... recorded five pins and three major decisions.

2013-14 -- competed at Upper Iowa... named first team Northern Sun Conference... competed at 149 pounds... posted a 35-4 overall record and a runner-up finish at the NCAA DII Championships.

2012-13 -- did not compete.

2011-12 -- competed at Iowa Central Community College and won the junior college national championships at 149 pounds, posting a 32-1 overall record.

But MVPFan, we have a guy in Brooks that can hit big moves and everything he tries to go upper body everyone freaks and tells him to be smart.

I thought he transfered to Iowa and did not make the line up last year and was a senior this year.

Briiliant. Go back to the basketball board.
Doesn't mean the guy is wrong. M* addition has made some of these guys stagnant. But, it's not all his fault. The program as a whole has dipped and it started prior to M* arrival.

Bernstein from Navy was being checked for a concussion, now returning, so 174 is going on longer than usual.

Jackson (IND) leads him 6-3. Now 8-3.

Brooks vs. Dudley

Brooks in on a single leg, but can't finish.

Brooks has a leg again. Scramble... Dudley gets the 2.

I hope people are not seriously complaining about Sorensen winning a close match vs a very tough Sueflohn for his 4th in a row over him.

M* complaints are old and unfounded. Did he teach Brooks to not finish a TD and give up a tilt?

Did he teach Brooks how to finish a TD and avoid giving up a tilt?o_O

Dudley slow to get back to the center.

Brooks throws him. Now trails 8-6.

No back points.

Dudley wins 9-6 with RT.

Dudley shows that the better athlete is going to win if they show up ready and go hard. At least Sammy went down swinging.

No doubt who the better wrestler was in that match, but once again the game plan was too conservative. Once he cuts it loose there is no doubt.

Did Cooper just pin himself?

Dudley did one move and got 6 points then stalled out. He was gassed after the first period. Don't know why many of the Iowa wrestlers aren't great at finished with the single up.
