Doesn't make sense to me, unless Teasdale (perhaps w/ parental support) insisted that he do it.
So I don't want to read back through this whole thread but I have a question. How does one leave school before the semester ends, get incompletes or f's and then re enroll and be immediately eligible. Again, I'm sorry if this has already been discussed.
I don't think he's attached.Nobody is unattached in the brackets kids I know for sure are redshirting hidlay and woods are listed attached so believe it's just the way floarena entered them
If you have proof that that's what happened, please present it. Your proof can't be ihwked claiming on this forum that that's what happened.

I'm not claiming or have proof of anything. I asked a question. He was enrolled at PSU first semester correct, hence the announcement that he was leaving school. He, 2 weeks later, was back. Did he finish classes before he left?

Don't know, but why don't you ask some more questions that noone on here knows the answers to, so others can turn those questions into facts?

You’re saying a guy can enroll into psu, screw off & live the party life for most of a semester and then when you realize your grades are junk, just withdraw from psu & come back a few weeks later with no academic repercussions???? That just doesn’t seem kosher to me.

Hmm, so there are articles that say he withdrew. Even ones that say the withdrawal was for health reasons. To my knowledge there are no articles that say he withdrew because his grades were junk or that he was screwing off or that he was living the party life. The only place I've read those things is right here on this board.
So, do you have ANY proof of those things you are writing? Any? Come on, you can do it. Use the internet. Find proof. We'll wait.

Every university has a withdrawal deadline for every semester, including Iowa. It's most often used for medical withdrawals but you can withdrawal for any reason. But, as a student athlete, you're most likely setting yourself up for a heavy coarse load going forward to make appropriate progress towards your degree.

Medical issues are not grade issues holy shit. If you have to leave for health issues there are things that can go differently

As an educator....I get an in-service lessons about these laws every year. Once it is reported to superiors....there is NOTHING you can do or learn about what happens next. I had a student that was being beaten up by his alcoholic father every time he tried to stop dad from beating up his mom. He had bruises, black eyes...arm in a sling. I talked to him about it and he told me the situation. I reported it to my Principal....as I am required to do by law. That is THE end. He was removed from my class. I was not legally allowed to be told ANYTHING ...I was not even allowed to know whether my superior even turned it over to Children and Youth. They can't even acknowledge there has been a report or that there is an investigation. That is the LAW....in PA. So.....when Paterno "Got rid" of Sandusky.....he had no legal knowledge of anything....just rumor. Now in 2011 when he did get a report from McCreary and passed it on to his superiors....the END. There is absolutely nothing more he could do.. As it turned out...his Superiors never passed it on. He was not legally allowed to be told this by anyone and all his inquiries would legally be met by silence....like mine. It sucks...but it is true. So....you have been informed of the legalities involved. Do what you will with the information.
PS: A question you may want to ask is why the Attorney General of Pa...refused to press charges when provided clear evidence against Sandusky by investigating officers....including taped dialogue from Sandusky himself. The guy who made that decision was named Tom Corbett. His name may sound familiar. He was the Governor of Pa. when the scandal hit in 2011. He was the one who immediately threw Paterno under the bus even though he knew the laws at least as well as I do. He was also one of the Trustees that wanted Paterno fired in 2004. They were going to replace him with.....Take a guess.....you will only need one. Former players and donors stopped the firing and Paterno went 11-1 the next year. The trustees did give Sandusky an office on campus after his "departure" from the football program in 1999. There are a lot of things that stunk to high heaven at PSU during those times. The only thing Paterno was involved with was getting him out of the football program.....which was all he could do. Any real & fair investigation would look a whole lot different now. Oh...….Corbett got crushed in his re-election bid......in large part because of his answers....or non-answers to questions about why he refused to OK charges when pretty much every investigating officer stated they believed there was more than enough evidence to arrest. You can continue to blame PSU and it's highest decision makers.....they deserve it. But now you know that...in these matters.....Paterno was legally not involved in any decision......except to rid him from the Football program. There is much blame but it lies elsewhere. Peace

Enough already. Most here think Carl is a slime based on Long and some slimy ass things he did while at ISU. Even if he might be a slime with a lot more resources now there is no amount of convincing that will make the psu people think he does not fart fairy dust. It is what it is and just wasted energy by both sides. As for teasdale. Who cares? He supposedly had a "recreation" issue or whatever has been reported. I'm sure his grades were in the toilet or there was no need to withdraw for such a short period of time. The withdraw and subsequent waiver are the only way to get a do over on the academics. Was the "recreation" issue the cause for the grades or just a good excuse for a do over? Who knows. Maybe it's legit, maybe not. If not then unless he gets some people to do his schoolwork for him the grades issue will be back. We are not beating PSU no matter who their 125 pounder is so in the end even if Carl is being creative it does not matter. It's clear PSU has things going good, things are so damn good their fans are bored to the point of having to spend most of their time talking about other schools because they don't have anything to bitch about on their team. Yes they somehow get more than their share of top end talent and they seem to live up to expectation most of the time unless riding the pine behind other top end talent. They seem to do pretty well with some lesser heralded guys as well like their 184 and 285 pounders this year. They know how to get their guys to be confident and let it fly on the mat and score points, give em credit. They know how to pick recruits who wrestle a dynamic style, like Carl did. Does their big fat cash flow help? I'm sure it does. Are they creative in how they use it? I'm sure they are. Is it cheating? No one who matters has chimed in that it is so unless they do it is what it is and we better figure out how to be better than them. PSU are the kings now and the rest of college wrestling can either keep taking it or quit being bitches and give em all they got every chance they get.
