If he is taking visits, why would he stay?
I sat directly behind Teasdale last night at the Indiana meet. Not sure who else was sitting with him, but Terry Brands came over to speak with them during the action. Somebody else I didn't recognize came out of the stands to speak with him and said "we'd love to have you wrestling here".
Why would he have a redshirt? What starts the 5 year clock, enrolling in school or actually competing a semester in school?
I don't think anyone who kept this thread going hates GT or doesn't think kids deserve a 2nd or 3rd chance.
IMO most of us realized Cael's second chances and the timing seemed morally messed up. Just like Andrew Longs case. There is a difference between letting a kid be on the team for structure like Jrent and earn his way back in time versus, holy crap I need a 125 pounder for the scuffle in 2 weeks.
If Brands views the kid is worth it and has a long term plan then I believe most of us are all for it. But I personally want to see GT jump through some hoops before being given the privilege to start again. I don't see any scenario where Brands would just defy logic to start him. Even with Marion and PD3 coach used extreme caution and used a slow approach.
And for the Pd3 folks who say look at that. You know what, listen to the recent PD3 interview on FLO. He was eligible to go but Brands said you aint living the right lifestyle even though you are eligible and I know it. Goodbye. Cael would have never done that unless he had his guy Taylor at that weight and could deem a Bubba expendable.
Cael lives in your head rent free.
OP is a fuggin idiot
Still predicting 150+ and a championship, genius?Lets not talk about heads in a conversation will bail
I OWN your whole TROLL fan base!!!

According to karl. Teasdale withdrew from classes and it was like he was never there as far as eligibility.
How great would it be seeing him kicking F*** St Wrestlers arses as IOWA ROLLS out several more Championships.
Pretty sure some of these Happy Trolls would have a complete melt down!!!

DeSanto obviously has anger & maturity issues yet Brands immediately put him out there, why, because Iowa would have a gapping hole at 133 otherwise.
Marion sat out the same amount of time as Long, but "coach used extreme caution and used a slow approach" yet in regard to Long "Cael's second chances and the timing seemed morally messed up" LOL, you can't make this stuff up!!
It's funny watching you guys that roasted Cael about Teasdale squirm now.
So much miss information here -
1. DeSanto"s issues aren't maturity and anger. You should know that.
2. The Marion decisions were not made by the coaches.
3. You want to compare apples to apples, than contrast Marion's case to Ed Ruth situation. Didn't old Tough Love Cael sit Ed for some second rate tournament over Thanksgiving? Andrew Long was on another planet and what Cael did there was indefensible.
That was first semester. Did he not re-enroll for the 2nd semester? He is currently still listed in the PSU student directory.
Wait you’re just trolling correct? Carl sat Long the same amount of time that Tom sat Montell? Talk about making stuff up - please explain this one to me.DeSanto obviously has anger & maturity issues yet Brands immediately put him out there, why, because Iowa would have a gapping hole at 133 otherwise.

Remind me on this one please. They also miss the fact that a future National Champion left the team due in part to punishments that were handed down.

As far as this is concerned. It was said he left school, but that is just message board info. I do not know why they would have removed him from the F*** St. Wrestling roster though if it was not true.
That would really be bad if they removed him from the team(which i have no idea why they would and do not believe they would) if he was still enrolled in school.
It would also seem to be a bad idea for him unless maybe he is going part time to just get some of the lost school time back. I believe his stock remains higher if he is indeed coming into a program like a true Freshman eligibility wise.
Gross, - 133. Left IOWA

CORRECT pablow!
Ed Ruth robbed a Taco Bell or drove his car into a Taco Bell while drunk and received basically nothing.
They also miss the fact that a future National Champion left the team due in part to punishments that were handed down.
It is laughable that they would compare the two schools and coaching staffs!
Just in the past year Iowa tried to bring PDIII in, brought in and immediately inserted into the lineup a guy with anger issues that tried to break another wrestlers arm and then had one wrestler shoot another and then had a cover up with police. Again, you had one wrestler SHOOT another and he is still on the team competing for a spot. You would think that in itself would be enough for you and your fellow Iowa fans to realize you do not have the higher ground when discussing coaching holding their athletes accountable or doing what's in their best interests..... and if that's not enough, we can go out further then the past year and talk about the numerous arrests with no suspensions for burglary, DUIs, public drunkenness, poaching and various firearm charges.
133 is DeSanto, unless ADS WANTS to go 141, imo. He deserves to be the one making the choice. If Renteria is capable, Iowa should be set. I'm just not seeing a need for GT unless it's a way to keep a competitor from being competitive at that weight.2019-2020...can this get it done???
25 Lee
33 Teasdale
41 Desanto/Renteria/Murin
49 Lugo
57 Young
65 Bull
74 Kemerer
84 Cash
97 Warner
HWT Cass
Yeah, can we call a truce on the old-history mud-slinging? Most programs have their fair share of individuals behaving badly.

They both sat out one semester although Long had to transfer to a different school and move 800 miles East to get his opportunity. Certainly more of a penalty then what Marion had to do.

Enough stockpiling 133s, we need a 149 in the room next yr, a 157 and 174 a hell of a lot worse than we do another 133, good grief.
Right, so we need one on board and on red shirt next year at 49.UH, Lugo has another year. We have Young AND Brands at 157. Are you forgetting about KemDAWG for 174???
