The Elon Musk Twitter shitshow

The freak-out from some on the left for Elon buying Twitter has been hilarious. Here is a guy that has done so much for green energy, space exploration, opening up high-speed internet to underserved markets, (all things they should like) and they don't like him now that he bought a media outlet platform.

LOL...it will be ok, Elon doesn't want to ruin Twitter or isn't some right wing operative. Many of you have just become so insanely political that it has put emotional hate blinders over your eyes. You guys really do remind me of the scumbag MAGAs more and more every day.

How about we stop using our kid emotions and start using our adult logics. Elon has owned twitter for about a month, he has shown to be able to create successful organizations in the past. Lets maybe give him a minute before jerking off about how he has already failed. My guess, is Twitter will be private for about 2 years or so and he will take it public again and will experience a good return on his investment.

I love that the pistol on the nightstand appears to be pointed at the bed, and if he needed to grab it, he'd have to turn it around. Probably not a best practice...

Then again, neither is telling the world where you keep your gun...
It's a replica of a gun from a video game - about the dangers of billionaires wielding too much power. Musk is so clueless he sees himself in the hero and doesn't realize that he's the villian in the story.

It is embarrassing and should be a wake up call to people that apparently now that Twitter has been bought by Musk, the Administration and media are concerned for it being a haven for misinformation? Seriously? The Administration is going to now be getting involved in looking at Musk and Twitter? This is such an overreach of people that fully supports this idea that the media and Democratic Administration want to censor speech that might go against their beliefs. I don't know how anyone can argue this. Twitter was apparently truthful before Musk bought it?

The left didn't really freak out. They were simply amused that so many MAGA people immediately jumped on the Elon Musk bandwagon simply because he told them what they wanted to hear. Musk is about Musk and he continually manipulates the market without impunity. He's made a lot of money leeching off other peoples ideas.

It is bc of all the hate speech but I am on twitter quite a bit and it would seem if you want that sort of stuff you have to hunt for it. Also, you can mute people on twitter, you don't have to follow certain people, it is just so wild that people think the echo chamber trappings of twitter and its algorithms are any different than FB, insta, TikTok or whatever social media platform one favors.

You might disagree with them, but idiots they are not. Just based on $$ they are very smart. Got to be pretty smart to make a bunch of money just telling people your opinion.

Rush died with about 600 million

Mark Levin is worth about 50 million

Ben Shapiro 20 million

Glenn Beck 150 million

Sean Hannity 250 million

Charlie Kirk 19 million

Michael Savage 80 million

Larry Elder 20 million

Dennis Prager 10 million

Dan Bongino 10 million

Andrew Wilkow 10 million

David Webb 5 million

Don't know anyone that thinks going into the capital building was anything but idiotic. Hell - even most of those that did seem to realize how stupid it was.
I was referring to the stupid ass dead anti vax right wing opinion radio hosts, not the right wing opinion radio hosts who have become wealthy by bullshiting stupid right wingers. (Glenn Beck didn't make the radio scene because no one could see his magic chalkboard.)

If attacking Congress on January 6th is so obviously stupid, why does this SHIT still persist?

I had a Twitter account but was “permanently suspended” a couple years ago. Tried logging in yesterday but was denied and am still suspended.

Apparently calling Laura Ingram a “deceitful c#nt” still hasn’t aged well and is worse than using the platform to fuel an attempted insurrection and spread election lies.

Trust fund baby?

My dad pushed dirt for a living and mom was a seasonal tax prep. We were poooooor, so were taught we needed to be good thinkers to become successful later in life. We have created some success, I want my kids to be able to use that success to help themselves become even more successful than me and their mom. I certainly am not teaching them to be envious of those who have more or to look down on those who currently have less.

If we are able leave them a few million and have done the work to be successful individuals I don't think that should be held against them. We are trying to teach them to not be like any of the political assholes that we see all throughout the right and left today, instead we are showing them what hard/smart work looks like.

Keep your head down, block out the noise, work hard, create value and opportunity for others...its the "magic secret" to success for those who haven't figured it out yet. No one is going to hand it to you and many will want to discredit you for it but they are the ones that will never have much things or happiness in life. I like to call them "losers". Not bc of what they have/don't have but rather they limp through life as victims looking for excuses why things haven't worked out for them. My views are very liberal, but liberals have become a very unattractive bunch bc they would rather complain than work.

I keep seeing that Twitter allowed child porn. Is that True?
'Allowed' wouldn't be the right way to put it.

https://www.theverge.com/23327809/twitter-onlyfans-child-sexual-content-problem-elon-musk

Some executives thought Twitter could easily begin capturing a share of that money since the service is already the primary marketing channel for most OnlyFans creators. And so resources were pushed to a new project called ACM: Adult Content Monetization.
Before the final go-ahead to launch, though, Twitter convened 84 employees to form what it called a “Red Team.” The goal was “to pressure-test the decision to allow adult creators to monetize on the platform, by specifically focusing on what it would look like for Twitter to do this safely and responsibly,” according to documents obtained by The Verge and interviews with current and former Twitter employees.
What the Red Team discovered derailed the project: Twitter could not safely allow adult creators to sell subscriptions because the company was not — and still is not — effectively policing harmful sexual content on the platform.
“Twitter cannot accurately detect child sexual exploitation and non-consensual nudity at scale,” the Red Team concluded in April 2022. The company also lacked tools to verify that creators and consumers of adult content were of legal age, the team found. As a result, in May — weeks after Elon Musk agreed to purchase the company for $44 billion — the company delayed the project indefinitely. If Twitter couldn’t consistently remove child sexual exploitative content on the platform today, how would it even begin to monetize porn?

I don't think political leaders like people who have the capacity to transcend government. I think why many like Elon is bc he is proving out that central govts are not all that necessary for humanity to achieve major history changing accomplishments.

Personally if getting rid of strong central govts meantime we also were able to get rid of some of you lunatics on the left and right it would be a really good thing for society.
He's literally a defense contractor and Tesla makes a lot of its money selling carbon credits. He is entirely dependent on the government. Iron Man isn't real, libertarians

This is the part I am interested in. Musk has also tweeted about showing how democrat political campaigns were granted favors from the previous Twitter employees to assist with their campaign via algorithm changes.

It is why the freakout has been so big and lead by some govt officials. They don't like Elon bc they can't control him and they know it.
