The Elon Musk Twitter shitshow

Musk just claimed that Twitter has interfered in past elections...@Huey Grey @JRHawk2003 do you want to know the details of this if it is true or is this rather something you would see swept under the rug?

If this is true is it why democrat leaders have chosen to start attacking Musk and if that is the case should they be forced to resign in shame from their positions as well as anyone else who participated in the election interference? Should some be jailed? I think if he is right some should be jailed just like the scumbag Trumpers (and Trump himself) in govt positions that broke laws.

Anyone who breaks the law should have to deal with it. He should do more than claim it, he should show it. Put up or shut up.

Including people like him who are certainly in gray areas of securities laws.

And if we don't like them politically we should REALLY go after them.

Helium-3 ions were discovered in the Moon's upper crust after the Apollo 17 lunar mission brought back soil samples from the Moon. Helium-3 is a non-radioactive hydrogen isotope with one neutron and two protons. Scientists hypothesise that He-3 was carried through space via the Sun’s solar winds but burns up as it reaches the Earth’s atmosphere, thereby making it almost non-existent on Earth. However, helium-3 has accumulated on the Moon’s surface in plenty. Scientists estimate that the Moon is likely to contain roughly 1 million tons of He-3, which translates to a hypothetical 10,000 years worth of energy.

Renewables are FAR cheaper than "solar wind" He-3 used as fuel.

I have renewables pictured in the background of my handle pic. Why, bc I own renewables.

Lots like to talk not many like to put up the cheddar to make stuff happen, they always want someone else to do it for them.

Elon is hanging out with Tim Cook. Boycott Apple right?

If they haven't boycotted Apple for their human rights violations in China they never will. Their political mouth is bigger than their political integrity.

It is like saying you are for Law and Order and then storming the US Capitol and trying to overturn a free and fair election. When it comes down to it people have very little political integrity or integrity in general, they are ruled by their most immediate emotions.

Also, Tim Cook is obviously now a right wing operative.

Somebody would need to invent a spaceship that could make the return trip.
A reusable spaceship that could carry 100 tons would be good.
Then build a thousand of them.

Off the top of my head I can think of one guy currently trying to pull that off…
Who?

I'm told in this thread that is easier to build thousands of moon ships. Who to believe?...
A mule was cheaper and easier to get your farm power from when oil was discovered. They went and littered the world with oil rigs, refineries, oil tankers, and all manner of gas stations anyway.
Guess it had some other advantages to it beyond mere cost.

Was NASA using reusable rockets?

No.

Answer by Robert Frost, who works at NASA, on Quora:

NASA isn’t really in the rocket development business. NASA only gets involved in rocket building when the commercial market doesn’t have a product that can fulfill NASA’s needs. NASA doesn’t use enough rockets to make reusability worthwhile.

He didn't create Tesla. He bought it.

Lies. He was 97% investor in series A funding. He along with four others created Tesla. Two incorporated the company but they didn’t own the name Tesla. They didn’t have financial backing. They had no product. They had no employees. It was basically just an idea of a company until Elon & JB Straubel came along.

Eberhard lied to the other partners every step of the way and was booted from the company.

You dont know shit Huey. Quit acting like you do.

Judge strikes down request that former CEO Martin Eberhard be declared one of only two founders of the automotive start-up.

No one made the claim: “SpaceX is fully reusable.”

You asked:

And I replied: Reusable spaceship is the biggie.

When the man is put in his grave the reusable rocket that he created SpaceX to achieve will be the biggest mark he has left on history.
It’s how we’re going to colonize the Moon and beyond over the next two decades.

But the first reusable “spaceship” isn’t an attribution of Elon’s (or SpaceX). You would have to be ignorant to claim that. This isn’t to detract from him/them either.

Read this, assuming you can read.

I'll excerpt it:

The necessary temperature for D-3He fusion is about 4 times higher than that in ITER: about 600 million degrees. At such temperatures, the plasma loses quite a lot of energy by radiation.

For a D-3He reaction, the product of Beta and of the energy confinement time would need to be at least 25 times higher than in a D-T plasma. Such performance have never been achieved in current experiments.

No scheme has been demonstrated at scale yet, and technically it is quite challenging.

Here's another.

On a completely unrelated subject and showing my ignorance, that link says helium is the most lightweight gas in the periodic table. Hydrogen?

Weird. This says he didn't create Tesla. He was actually the company's fourth CEO.

This has already been covered. Further, SpaceX doesn't use fully reusable rockets, either. Nobody does. But lots of outfits, including NASA, used reusable components, including spacecraft. It's like your Elon Fan club mind forgot all about the Space Shuttles in the early 1980s.

I'm not saying it hasn't. I am saying that SpaceX's main customer is the strong central government that you are claiming Elon is showing us we don't need.

SpaceX certainly needs them!

If not for anything but the infrastructure.... imagine how expensive it would have be to build it from scratch

People likely said the same thing to Magellan. Sail around the world, nah broski, you will likely fall off it.

It must be weird going through life with small goals and a tiny vision.
Personally I find it weird that anybody could believe that we'll colonize the moon soon. There is literally no aspect of this that is achievable. You understand this, right? Please tell me you understand this.

That is the thing about goals, you will never get there if you don't first start taking steps in that direction. It may not be an our lifetime thing but it certainly should be for our kids or grandkids.

In the 60s and 70s the goals were to have flying cars and jetpacks and colonize the moon by the new millennium. Goals are great but they don't always follow the timeline the promoters throw out.
