I’m trying to calm myself down. They had 2 bombs against our worst DB and an awful punt led to an easy punt return.

This is a lot of points in 2 cupcake games and lost to our rival by losing ourselves….

I’m concerned about the secondary. I also trust Phil to get it right. But…training wheels are off now. It’s time for conference play and we HAVE to lock down the big plays. Obviously.

Our longest pass was still less than 20 yards

We thru 95% of passes around the LOS

When we play better defenses we will be back to the 13-10 games

I distinctly remember them lining up in pistol on one of the red-zone series with Sullivan, that's why I asked. I'm gonna say there were 0 other games under Ferentz, or probably any other coach, where we used that set.

its just frustrating that the 21 were on 3 big plays that were easily avoidable.

While is concerning, it's also HOPEFULLY correctable.

I think I'd rather give up 3 broken defensive plays, than having 3 TDs that Troy was able to maintain drives a pick apart weaknesses.

Just my thoughts. If ONE player can elevate their play (Hall or his replacement), you avoid those 2 TDs.
