IF they have data showing concentrations near the lab, and near the homes of the folks who worked at the lab, let's overlay those with the other existing data we have.
This Times report mostly ignores the previous data gathered on the topic, which is why I'd reserve judgement until they show there data and sources.

As far as I know we're at the point of not needing to produce bits of manipulation evidence. We take pieces of extant virus and paste them back together in novel ways. It all comes from nature.
I'm saying you can do this work and not produce evidence of any manipulation. Some covid podcast about research a while back. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I have doubts about the correctness of your contention.
For example... once the blueprint on covid got out, labs were able to recreate it rather quickly without any sign of human manipulation but for some of the clues they purposefully left in there.

Sure you can. But this is talking about Trump. The OP was presenting this as a "See? Trump is God because he was right!". This isn't about how the pandemic started, it's about distracting from Trump getting indicted. Again. That and even if Trump was "right", it doesn't change the fact that Trump still broke some very serious laws that would have any one of us in jail never to see the light of day again if we did the same thing.

Honest question. As someone who thinks we may never know, and sure it could have emerged from that bio lab, what is the big gotcha? The lab is not a clandestine bio weapon lab which is why we all know of it.

There is modest information to support the former; there is zero information to support the latter.

We already KNOW that multiple other pandemics (SARS/MERS/Ebola) arose from natural crossover between species; we KNOW that wet-markets are a Petri dish for viruses to explore those cross species connections.
China might actually PREFER a lab-leak "explanation" (or continuing an uncertainty that points to it), because that allows them to keep these wet-markets operating - which are a major source of food for locals.
The simple fact is, the wet markets need to be banned, 100%. And that has grave impacts for China's food supply, so they will do whatever it takes to prevent that from happening. Including muddying the waters on SARS2 Covid origins. That shifts the focus AWAY from shutting down wet markets. That's a "win" for them.

I never said anything about hurting Trump... and in the end, I was much closer to be right than any of you. The whole pandemic and our reaction has been a total failure across almost every "scientific" field.
